It was September 20th, 2022 Harry and I were moving out of his old apartment, we were getting married in three weeks so Harry thought to begin our life afresh in a new apartment and a new neighborhood, “Babe you would love it there I promise”, he said and I nodded my head without saying a word as I knew my partner sucked at surprises. fingers crossed I said to myself as I made my way to brew a cup of coffee. I needed all the energy in the world because I had to go arrange Harry’s stuff in the attic.

Feeling energized and having rested enough, I headed to the attic because the moving van was almost here, we had to be all packed in record time.

While packing Harry’s stuff my eyes landed on his baby picture, the picture looked old but Harry was freaking cute in it. I chuckled as I imagined what mini Harry would look like. Scanning for more, my eyes landed on a black bag and I could see a catalog in it. Out of excitement to see what baby Harry looked like years ago, I opened the bag and reached out for the pictures and that was it! I felt a touch, cold, soft, and alive,” Holly Molly!” I screamed just before I was dragged into another world.

My eyes were shut tight as the brightness from this unfamiliar place was too much. I tried to adjust to the light and that was when it dawned on me that I wasn't at Harry’s place packing his stuff anymore, as I was in a magical world the type that I see in cartoons.

“Hold on, was this Harry trying to surprise me?” I chuckled as I remembered teasing Harry that he sucked at surprises and that he should up his game. “My baby outdid himself this time,” I thought to myself as the place was magical.

“Good job Babe!” I said as I clapped my hands in search of Harry whom I thought was hiding somewhere.

“ Thanks a lot, Babe, I love it!” I raised my voice so he could hear me.

“Babe you there?” I nervously asked.

There was still no response from Harry and I was slowly getting worried. I took the liberty to go in search of him but I couldn’t and everywhere was awfully quiet.

“Babe that’s enough, you can come out now,” I said, getting scared with each step that I took.

A few minutes later, I heard footsteps, I smiled as I knew it was my fiancé, and I quickly ran down to the direction of where the footsteps were coming, on getting there what I saw almost made me pee in my pants. Standing before me was a one-eyed dwarf, with wings, spiky tail, and long hair.

“Hello dear lady”, the creature said smiling and heading in my direction.

Was I dead? Was this one of the demons in hell? , Am I in hell?” I thought to myself.

“No my darling you are not dead neither are you in hell nor am I a demon,” it said smiling sheepishly.

I was stunned, not only was this creature weird but it could also read minds.

“I heard that too,” it said while grinning from ear to ear.

“Please I want to go back home, I don’t know how I landed here but I am getting married in a few weeks and my fiancé is probably going crazy looking for me”, I said, going hysterical already.

“Hahahaha you will love it here”, it said. The creature cast a spell and we were inside a house. Clearly, it was it’s house as it made itself comfortable.
I stood there dumbfounded as I couldn’t wrap my head around what was happening and the fact that I was helpless made it worse and I started sobbing.

“Oh dear shhhh, stop crying”, it said as it made its way down to the tap, immediately it turned on the tap I saw coffee not water come out of the tap, I gasped and I knew I was in danger, if the most minute thing as water could be removed from the equation then I was nothing.

“Here you go”, the creature handed me the cup of coffee.

“No please I don’t want coffee, I am thirsty, I want water”, I said to it, handing back the cup of coffee to it.

Immediately, I saw the creature brewing water, everything in this world was upside down and no one could tell me otherwise. It smiled at me and I knew it had read my mind again and I was embarrassed.

“Dear lady, every year the coffee nation chooses one human to honor and this time we chose you because we saw how much you love your coffee, how much you care about others and you are a good person, our plan was never to scare you but for you to enjoy with us over here for some weeks before you head back to your human world”.

For the very first time in my chaotic situation, I laughed out real hard and the strange creature looked at me in amazement.

I appreciate the kind gesture from the Coffee Nation but I don’t think I am the right person to be honored given that I hate it here and would want to go back home.
I saw the colors drain out of the creature's face but I was not moved, I just wanted to go back to my world, my family, and my partner oh Harry! he would be worried sick.

Finally it smiled, bade me goodbye and said some spells and the next thing I could remember was me on my bed and my partner standing in front of me in bewilderment.
There was so much to say but that would be said later because right now all that mattered to me was the man standing in front of me.
