One of my favorite daily pleasures is to enjoy a good coffee, especially in the afternoons, and this has been joined by the charm of getting to know new coffee shops. Whenever these places seem good to me, in addition to enjoying my stay there, I like to transmit my experience, so that other lovers of the delicious liquid can also visit them whenever they have the opportunity. It is true that not everyone has the same perception of a service, the taste of a drink or a particular design; but the recommendation is still valid.
The cafeteria I suggest today is located in the Meliá Habana hotel, in the elegant Miramar district. It is a very small place, but very cozy. The first thing that strikes you when you enter the place is the back wall, which is drawn in black and has a white image of emblematic buildings of the city.
In their display refrigerators they have a great variety of sweets, especially panetelas, which are among the most popular desserts for Cuban customers. I imagine that, despite the fact that the cafeteria is located in a hotel that caters to international tourism, they have these types of products because it is frequently visited by national clients. Likewise, the retrobar displays a large number of beverages, and some of these are used for coffee brewing.
The coffee I had was excellent. As I usually do, and it being late afternoon, I ordered an espresso. The gastronomic services clerk had suggested the cortado at our table, as they say that they make it very well, and that customers who order it once, usually repeat. So I leave the recommendation there.
