A social media targetted advertisement showed up on my feed one day and since then, I can't stop thinking about it. I knew that we had to visit it soon!
When my newlywedded ex-colleague told me they'd visit Panglao for their honeymoon, I told him we should have a double date, thankfully he agreed and so we finally visited La Casa Beatrice!
This Tuscan-Mediterranean style abode opened its door to the public after a few renovations. In 2021, they began to make noise on the internet, at least on the island of Bohol for its unique architecture! It felt like we were transported to a different country upon opening the door to the property.
This property is a distance away from main Panglao where the beaches are located so for those who want to get away from the noise and the crowd of Panglao, this place would be perfect for you!
But it is also very open to those who want to just have an afternoon snack at their Cafe Mirano just like us. We arrived around two in the afternoon and it was scorching hot!
There were a lot of gates accessing the property but only one was opened. We knocked and a very accommodating staff welcomed us, and asked if we have any reservations for that day but we mentioned we were only going to have our afternoon snack! The lady was very warm and welcoming, she showed us to the cafe which was just opposite their 22-meter long pool. It was really tempting to dive into that pool but we were more astounded by the resort's beauty!
From the bougainvillea plants crawled into the curved pathways beside the pool, to the rock accented foundations of the cafe, and the "Encanto" feels, I am sure that this place is sought for its beauty and most probably, there are a lot of photoshoots done here.
Later on, I learned that they do accept photoshoot events too and I immediately checked their social media. I found really great images of those who had rented the place for their shoot! It's very photogenic!
So after checking the menu and placing our orders, I went ahead and took photos of the couple and of the place. My husband can't help as well but do the same but since we have Matti with us, we have to take turns.
Extra clean with cute lighting and fixture, it makes me wonder how it looks at night! Seriously, at that moment, I wanted to say there for at least a night! I am also very interested in how they name their rooms, it's like it was inspired by the Disney movie Encanto.
Some of the room names were Isabelita and of course Beatrice. There are rooms as well on the second floor and also some day rooms which are utilized for those who want to stay for a day only.
We paused taking photos when one of the staff at Cafe Mirano called our attention for our orders to be ready. Cafe Mirano is well known for its artisan Ensaymada and when we were choosing what to eat, we got really attracted to its menu. I forgot to take a photo of it though but it looked truly pleasing plus the lady who accommodated us also explained what this drink was and what their best sellers although all of their ensaymada flavors are worth trying!
But before I show you what we ordered, let's have a quick tour around the cafe. This one reminded me of one place in Bukidnon that we visited. It has chairs that are made of metal with curly designs which I often see in Mediterranean homes like that as well in Europa Mansionette Inn in Mandaue City in Cebu.
Oh the ensaymada menu is right in that photo above on the pink board! This welcomed us upon entering the cafe.
I super approve of the cafe having their sugar, creamer, and other condiments ready and available for everyone! They got clean teaspoons too on the counter!
I want something like this when we will be building our future home, a tea or coffee area with wide glass doors so natural lighting and air flows.
We chose the long table at the center, I love that they have a sink as well that's made of polished rocks! There's a garden too at the back of the sink! I guess that's where they get their ingredients aside from the garden outside the gates.
Now, let's see the food that we ordered!
That's mango juice with a yellow flower which is very common in the country but I am not sure what's its name. Then We also got their cream cheese ensaymada up here. It has some bougainvillea flowers too on the side!
I also ordered their watermelon juice and the Oreo cream cheese flavored ensaymada for Matti. Also, the staff recommended their Ube with cheese ensaymada.
Karen and Darwin got themselves iced coffee too and a mango shake as well! These were really refreshing for this afternoon's heat! There's an air conditioner in the room but it was not turned on. They instead got us an electric fan which was enough to cool us that afternoon.
After taking photos of our snacks and drinks, it was time to eat and talk. We were not in a hurry at that time so we just took that chance to chill and enjoy the view! A few guests came in too and since they got bags with them, we were assuming they were there for a night stay!
The ensaymada was really soft and tasty, it was super delish! I love that they made an extra effort in making the simple ensaymada pleasing and bright by using cute rustic plates and adding real flowers to make the plate more pleasing and colorful!
I have to also mention that they support Bohol's plastic-free campaign by using metal straws! I really appreciate that!
After eating, we decided to finish taking photos! We went from one corner to another, taking photos of each other! I also requested for a box of ensaymada to go for the family and we took photos while waiting for that to be served!
La Casa De Beatrice is such a nice place. I am adding it to my list of places to stay in Panglao, their overnight stay includes free breakfast and I am wondering how their food is as well.
If you are in Panglao, I highly recommend you come by, they accept walk-ins without any prior appointments! You can have your snacks here too and try their artisan ensaymada! They are good!
