Hey, coffee friends!

In 2006 many things happened: among them, I rented a small apartment in the center of the city. Remodeling and equipping the kitchen was, although modestly, very exciting for me. An important part was buying the kitchen utensils and accessories, as I wanted quality things that were not too expensive and that I liked very much--because keeping my things for a long time is usually my plan--. I still have most of the stuff I bought; other things I have given away or left at my father's... When my husband and I moved in together, we realized that at 50% or so, we had two of everything, including two coffee canisters: mine was stainless steel with a rather sober design. In this old house we live in now, my husband's coffee canister is much better, as it has a more traditional feel.

He bought it at a Starbucks somewhere in Japan about 14 years ago. As it had some sentimental value to be considered, this was the one that was left in our kitchen, and my old coffee canister was left waiting in the cabinet like a player on the team's bench, but it's OK; I'm using it to keep my tea leaves.

Had I had the opportunity to buy a coffee canister in Japan, oh, you can bet I would've bought something with an artisanal feel, but I've grown quite fond of this little Starbucks buddy.

This is a beautiful vessel...you really have style my friend. You never cease to amaze me. Here's to a week full of good coffee!💜☕☕

Coffee canisters are special, right? I don't think one is enough. I need at least one more for beans, but I don't want more stuff. Not for now.

It's a holiday. I guess you have some extra time for your family today. It's raining here on the east. the afternoon will be good for some hot cocoa and a movie.

An excellent plan for the afternoon! Hope you enjoy it. 😘☕

It’s great that your husband had visited Japan and brought this fine canister back. It looks awesome! I would only prefer it if it had some Japanese art on it, rather than the Starbucks logo.

Wish you that it will serve you many more years!

I know, right?! I'd look for something more Japanese, even if it was a modest piece. But this canister has some charm and it's heavy and resistant. I like it.
