I cannot remember grinding my coffee without any of my grinders. I have a Hario Skerton that is the grinder I bought firstly. It didn’t grind coffee even enough and this led to many problems with good coffee extraction.
I simply prederred to buy ground coffee, which wasbt good either. The coffee was just losing its flavor too quickly. Then came the electric grinder, which was one of the best investments in my coffee gear so far.
It had the disadvantage that when I change the grind setting from super fine espresso to a medium filter coffee grinds, it needs to grind some amount of coffee to get rid of all the fine particles. This resulted in some extra bitter filter coffee… the good decision was to buy another grinder, which would be dedicated for filter coffee and AeroPress.
And now my setup is complete!
I really cannot imagine grinding or crushing beans in another way… it would really be a great pain. I would really skip my coffee until I find a good grinder! 😁
