The beautiful Alice fell asleep under a tree with the storybook she was reading over her face.

She woke up because she heard a noise and found a beautiful white rabbit. He had a tiny suit and a shiny golden watch. He stared at her and said that famous expression *I'm late!

Alice was surprised to understand what the rabbit was saying and without thinking twice she ran after this character who was entering a small hole under the root of the tree. Alicia also entered and could not see anything since everything was in total darkness.

A small bright light began to come out of the ground and in a matter of seconds the room was so brightly lit that it was difficult for Alicia to see. A strange guy in a suit and a huge hat came into the room.

He offered coffee to the guest.

-I don't drink coffee, I'm a child- said Alicia with a tone of astonishment when she saw an adult offering her coffee.

The hat laughed. He had an infectious but cloying laugh at the same time and several seconds later the laughter stopped.

Alicia asked what was that place? And why were there so many desserts on the table? The guy with the hat told her that she was welcome to the eternal coffee party where the laughter and desserts never ended.

Alicia, who was tired of her mother's strict rules and boring school chores day after day, took the steaming cup of coffee and drank until she finished that delicious frothy drink that had always been forbidden to her.

She sat down at the table and savored the rich cakes and cookies. They came in all flavors and were beautifully decorated. She talked a little about everything with the hatter and they paused to laugh like mad with laughter, until tears welled up in their eyes.

The afternoon wore on and Alice felt tired and bored from the coffee party. She grabbed some pastries to go and got up to look for the exit. Once again the hatter burst out laughing and told her that no one ever left the eternal coffee party. That every year on Halloween, the white rabbit went in search of an innocent soul to feed the spirits and that this year it would be her who would do the honor of being the dessert.

The little girl felt lost for a moment, but remembered how bad her mother got the day she accidentally broke Grandma's favorite teapot, so she picked up the precious china mug filled with coffee and threw it on the floor.

The hatter's laughter could be heard everywhere and the room began to change into a dirty, earthy hole under the tree.

-But, what did you do to your dress Alicia?- asked Alicia's mother who was walking through the garden and found her daughter all dirty. -Let's go home to clean you up- said her mother as she took her daughter by the arm.

That night at dinner time, they asked Alicia how her day had been. The girl looked at them all with a mischievous expression and answered:

-I went to a halloween day coffee party- while drowning in terrifying laughter.
