Sweet day guys! Today I want to join the theme of The Coffee Shop Prompt-Week 21, very creative by the way, and take the opportunity to share with you an experience I had a few days ago when I went on vacation to Lima, the capital of Peru. At the hotel where we stayed they had a buffet breakfast and the coffee was spectacular.
Personally, I think that the way they serve coffee and breakfast in particular does have an influence, not so much on the taste, but rather I think it is visually that we feel more comfortable with an elegant cup than with an ordinary cup.
I have visited places where they serve coffee in disposable cups, it is possible that this way they are easier to carry if we are in a hurry but this ruins the experience of drinking a cup of coffee.
The glassware to enjoy a good coffee should not only be in a coffee shop, this extends to our home, office and any place where we enjoy a cup of coffee. This is where the part of having a favorite cup in each place comes in, so we will be at ease at the moment of enjoying the precious coffee.
That is to say that when we are at home, we enjoy a cup of coffee in our favorite cup. When we receive visitors at home we should offer them a coffee experience that is unique to our home so it would be great to have a coffee tableware, they are really not very expensive and we can have one or several.
So, answering the question of this topic, do you think that the glassware in which coffee is served influences its taste? My answer is yes. I like the coffee I enjoy to look elegant and to feel that it is a coffee prepared especially for me, because I deserve it and because I like coffee. And the glassware it is served in is very important.
I liked my breakfast buffet at the Antara Hotel in Lima because the glassware where all the food was served was fine, in white and blue tones. It looked like a design from Chinese culture.
In addition to the huge coffee thermoses with dispenser from which you could pour whatever you wanted (I filled my cup twice, once with dark coffee and once with latte) they also offered bread, spreads and fillings. Granola, yogurt and honey. Practically everything you could possibly crave was on this table. It was a wonderful experience and lived up to my expectations. Breakfast was included in the room rate.
I thank you for joining me in this review and recommend drinking your coffee in a nice cup. Sweet day and see you soon!
