Oh, no! That's disappointing!
I had this Rowenta 👍 in the Philippines that worked perfectly for over 5 years. I bought it from an expat who had it for about a year before that. I had no complaints about it, but I wouldn't say it was the best machine ever.
I then purchased this Dēlonghi 👎 (from another expat who rarely used it when he was in the country), that was supposedly a better brand and a replacement if my Rowenta broke down. Unfortunately, when I was leaving and selling off some items, that Dēlonghi did not work. The power came on but the machine never worked.
The espresso thermos looks great, and I think the French press is an acquired taste.
When I just started using mine for coffee, I felt it wasn't topnotch, then I got used to it and I'm satisfied with my morning brew.
I think figuring out the right ratio helps.
I have one that size and I use 2 tbsp coffee and fill it to the spout and the coffee tastes pretty decent.
I also have one that's half the size of it and I use 1 tbsp and my coffee is perfect.
I'd say do a thorough research before you make a new purchase, cos dem shit not cheap!... But ⬇️
