It will come as no surprise to the wonderful members of this community that I spend a LOT of time in coffee shops at work and on my off days. Today is no different, because even though it is a day off, I've scheduled a meeting with @awardedguide at our local coffee shop to answer some questions he has about the finer points of Hive and some of the communities. And while I absolutely love having the opportunity to meet with him and share our common experiences on the blockchain, it points out a lingering issue with Hive....ease of onboarding. After many, many, many attempts, he is the only person I've been able to onboard that actually began writing and interacting on Hive and that probably has to do with the fact that we are extremely good friends who have a fairly deep history with each other. Of course, that is a story/issue for another post. lolol
While I greatly enjoy exploring culinary mysteries of all types, when it comes to my daily work/ off duty meeting routines I am a creature of habit. I think it is a case of knowing exactly what I like and not wanting to take a chance so often on my enjoyment of coffee and my time to reflect at work and to dive into my "work" when I have days off.
For me, the coffee shop order is nearly always the same. If I am at work, it is usually just a large Sugar-Free Salted-Caramel Breve....as a matter of fact, I order this drink so very often that the coffee shop management actually created my own button on the register and named the drink after me....lololol...so now all I have to do is come in and order a large "The Philip". I always new I would be famous...I just assumed it would be for felonies!!!
Now if it is a Sunday morning at work or "office" time on my off days at the coffee shop, I add a Sausage-Cheddar Quiche and a Coke Zero to the order. Since I try my best to live a fairly strict carnivore lifestyle, I usually leave the crust and just eat the quiche filling, but today I needed the extra "love" of the crust as I'm recovering a bit still from being under the weather last week. Yesterday was a long, long day at work and so I showed up extremely early for my meeting so I could unwind, get some writing done, and just enjoy my favorite time......me time...lolol
"The Philip" and the quiche absolutely did not disappoint today and hopefully I was able, with my very limited knowledge base, point Awardedguide in the right direction on a few Hive issues. I am the type of personality that seems to get much more done if I am working away from home and make it a point to go to a location for a purpose as I did today. Don't get me wrong, I get a decent amount of "work" done at home, but there is something about having a purpose in a destination to keep the drive high...of course you also have the added benefit of my favorite pastime....people watching. I have mentioned several times how fascinated I am by everyone's "story" I deeply crave to know "who" they are and how they arrived at this particular point in time. I have been extremely fortunate to meet some extremely interesting people while enjoying my coffee! It is also pretty cool that they do a decent amount of movie and television filming around my area and I've had the chance to meet some people involved in that crazy creative process as well as a couple of celebrities. A couple of months ago I met Andrew Lincoln (Rick from Walking Dead) picking up some coffee.
Ok, time to get back to "work" lolol Remember that I love you all and take the time today to ask as stranger about their "story" you might be surprised at their answer!!!
