Beanies Coffee

It's been a while since I last shared my homely coffee experiences. It's because my coffee experience at home has been quite boring, these past few months. I've been drinking the same old coffee with the same old creamer for months. I haven't tried any new brands or types of products. So, I didn't have much to share, there was nothing new or exciting going on.

Yet, even though it was boring, it was still effective, and fairly enjoyable. My instant coffee of choice was Nescafe Gold, with the Nescafe's regular creamer, the Coffee Mate. It wasn't as "exciting" compared to the Davidoff options I tried earlier, but it was affordable, readily available, and got the job done.

Also, I did take my coffee intake down by quite a bit. Either I stopped drinking coffee for a few days or drank milk tea as a substitute. Moderation was needed, I believe. Too much of something, whether it be good or bad, is never optimal.

Recently, however, I have succumbed to the hype of this new coffee brand, Beanies.

It's a vegan and healthy option. Which is something I've never tried before, the vegan part, of course. The healthy bit I try to follow whenever and wherever possible. I'm actually the opposite of vegan, most people in my country are; according to religion and culture. So, it was definitely a new experience for me.

Oddly enough, this coffee had taken over the instant coffee scene for a certain category of people. These were being sold left and right all of a sudden, and they weren't cheap either. And for a country like ours, affordability matters.

The branding stood out the most at first because it looked fun. The options of flavors and types are quite vast as well. So, it suits the hip people, probably those who spend most of their days and hours scrolling and fixing up their feeds on Instagram. I guess that helped it rise to "success" or at least be popular for a time frame. Whatever the message, motto, and target audience, it did work.

For quite a while I've been looking for something exciting, and Beanies coffee was exactly that.

So, before ordering I checked a few online reviews, to make up my mind about which flavor to get. Because I really didn't wanna waste money on "bad" coffee. After quite a few days of pondering, I decided to order the tried and tested product, the Cappuccino flavor. Even though I haven't tried their coffee yet, all I knew was that I was always a sucker for cappuccinos.

It's been quite a few days since I've been sipping on this coffee, and the results are 50/50. If I can brew it properly, and get the amount of coffee, cream, and water correct, then it's great. It's nothing fancy though. You can't compare to a cappuccino from a proper cafe, not even close, but in terms of taste, you will find a hint of cappuccino in it.

I have tried countless methods to perfect the result and taste, but in the end, the simpler method worked out best. Where you just add all the ingredients into the cup and pour in some hot water. Sometimes the simplest methods make the most sense and lead to the best results.

Yesterday I was feeling a bit "adventurous", it was a busy day and I had work to take care of. Since I couldn't go out and sit alone for a hot coffee and some dessert, I ended up ordering a piece of classic cheesecake from home. So, I prepped some coffee and enjoyed my cheesecake, as I worked away.

I must say, nothing beats this combo. The only thing that could make the moment better, would be a better view and environment. Well, that will have to wait for now. Yet, at least the hype was worth it, and I got my money's worth I'd say.

Cheers folks! Till next time. ☕️

Curse you for showing cheesecake to a hungry person xD On a more serious note, that looks pretty tasty, and I agree, the coffee looks hella fun.

After such a thorough review, even my coffee needs a coffee!.png

Oh, that cheesecake deserves to be flexed. xD It's heavenly, I tell you. 😏

I love it! I've never seen a Beanies coffee before, let alone a vegan one. It would be interesting to try it and give an opinion on it. Beautiful!

It's a fun take, but it's built on hype. And hype doesn't last long.
