Either you become friends while sharing a cup of coffee, or bring your friends for a cup; a cuppa joe always enhances the overall experience.
The other day a bunch of friends visited the capital city and were around my area, so they wanted to meet up. It's been over a year since I last met them, so I had to join them. Even though I had some work, I postponed it and decided to head out.
They're a fairly younger bunch than me, much more adventurous and carefree. We all got to know each other from gaming, and soon enough ended up in the same clan. And it's been close to half a decade already. It's astounding what gaming and social media can do if you know how to network and build relations. Both these platforms have given me so many opportunities, and I've gotten to know some amazing people. People who I truly care about.
That day we first headed out for lunch. Biriyani was their pick. And after a heavy lunch of biriyani, we needed to cool off. So, we headed towards Awake Coffee & Bistro, to get a cool blast of air conditioner and some cold coffee. September has been a hot month, and it's become unbearable to the point where hot coffee and tea should be forbidden. However, there has been a bit of rain for a few consecutive days, for which I could enjoy a few cups of hot coffee and tea.
Yet, that day it was time to change things up. It's been quite a few years since I last had some good cold coffee. So, I went with a regular cafe frappe, and so did the others.
It was their first time at Awake Cafe, and they liked it; the ambiance, the staff, and the coffee of course.
We were there for about an hour or so. We talked and caught up with life, responsibilities, gaming, and a bevy of other topics. These guys right here are a crazy bunch, and it's the fun type of crazy, not the crazy, crazy type. When started to go down, and things started to cool off, we headed out for a fairly long drive. It was a day to remember for sure. And I needed such a day. The past 2 to 3 years have been quite hectic for me, and don't get much time for myself. So, these random meet-ups and hangouts certainly help.
Hopefully, soon enough I'll be able to manage more time for such outings, and even some time alone.
