Even if it costs you money and time, even if it doesn't work out in the end, at least you'll gain some experience, and hopefully acquire some memories worth cherishing. And if you get to meet some great people along the way, and build a strong relationship, then what you have is priceless.
Yes, it's a post about coffee, but the people sitting at the table with us with a cuppa allow the enhancement of the overall experience. Cheers to the people we know, and to those that we've once known, because they all play/played a role in guiding us to where we are in life at present.
A few months ago I discovered this coffee brand named "Beanies", a brand that makes vegan coffee. Now, I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, far from it. I don't even know what I am when it comes to food and beverages. But, I like trying new things, from activities to hobbies, to food.
I think I've previously posted about Beanies coffee once, with a different flavor. This time, I've ordered a new flavor. Something a bit adventurous, at least for me. I got the Irish Cream flavor this time around, instead of the usual flavors that I'm familiar with. Long story short, it didn't disappoint. I was enjoying it as it is, with my usual coffee mate/cream.
But, since it's winter, it's the perfect time to try out some new things and methods with coffee. So, I tried out many different methods of mixing, including water temperatures, stove, kettle, and microwave, but in the end, the classic method prevailed; which was the fill your cup with the coffee necessities and just pour in some water from the kettle.
I thought that I had found my end-game when it came to making funky coffee; until my wife visited. She came for a little vacation after quite a few months. And one fine day she decided to try the regular instant coffee we had with the Beanies coffee. Her method was to have 80-90% of the regular coffee in there, and the remaining 10-20% of the coffee would be the flavored coffee from Beanies. Also adding in her preferred levels of cream, and voila! She had created quite a combo.
Not only did it taste better, but it was cost-effective too. Because over here for the price of 50 grams of Beanies coffee, you can get 200 grams of Nescafe Classic. And then there's the creamer too, which is around $3 USD for 400 grams, but you need to have butt loads of it in your coffee to have that creamy taste and texture. So, the coffee drinking habit of ours was surely getting a bit too adventurous, until this little discovery of "ours"; or should I say hers?
Now, as the story about the little funky discovery ends, I realize that we're all out of creamer too. I guess I'll have to rely on some tea, until I get the chance to restock on some creamer again, eh?
Till next time I guess.
