Being a coffee lover I have tasted so many different coffees. The urge to try more and more never ceases.
So, my curiosity took me to the most fancy, exquisite and classy restaurant which is famous since pre-independence era. United Coffee House is one of the most oldest and luxurious restaurant which was famous for not only it's vivid coffee flavours but the fusion food as well. Many diplomats and freedom fighters used to visit here regularly.
The repetitive visits from ministers and diplomats and our good old respected freedom fighters made it really special. I and my cousin made it a point to visit there one day as it was really hard to get reservations as I already tried twice before. But on this weekend I was lucky enough to get a table vacant on walk in.
It was a Columbian brew with milk. Since I am not a fan of coffee without milk so I ordered the one with the milk and my cousin ordered a classic latte.
The Columbian coffee was super velvety and delicious. I almost got two cups on one order which was great. My cousin loved the latte. It was classic style with milk froth on the top which added a stronger and tastier flavour.
Apart from the mouth watering coffee the ambience blew us. It was worth our time and money for sure.
The interior was superb and displayed the essence of classical style with moulding and wallpaper on the wall , tall ceilings, mezzanine floor, beautiful chandeliers and lamps, velvety patterned seats and floor rug with beautiful wooden balcony and embellishments.
People were surely enjoying the ambience and the classic style which rarely one could witness. IT has maintained the same style for years and the most amazing is the staff which was very poised and helpful. The infusion of colours was amazing. The menu extends over coffee and covers up the fusion foods as well.
Since it was evening and we were craving coffee so trying it was super fun and relaxing experience.
I remember playing 'kitchen kitchen' with our little tea and coffee cups during our childhood with my cousin and now drinking it in such regal place and discussing life and work was such a enduring mature moment. It's truly one of the 'I am a grown up now!" moment for sure.
Maintaining the essence of the restaurant for such a longer time is really hard and till date getting full reserved seats even during weekdays is surely a symbol of success.
I adored everything of 'The united coffee house' It was such amazing experience spending the evening over there.
I can't wrap up the publication without showcasing the classic chandelier on tall ceiling. There were two such traditional chandeliers with moulding on tall ceiling. This is situated in Connaught palace, The famous market of central Delhi.
Sipping the last couple of sips from our coffee we both thought of coming back again with more of our cousins and create a get together in such regal place. It was such an amazing experience with velvety coffees and amazing ambience.
