I tasted Arauca coffee for the first time: these are my impressions

This morning I woke up to some not so pleasant news: I had no coffee in my pantry. It was a terrible feeling, because for me morning coffee is very important. I had to leave the house without so much energy, and even worse: exercise without the taste of coffee that activates my body. Besides, it was getting cold and the rain made the laziness even worse. After my activity at the Gym, I did not hesitate to visit the nearest store to fix my mood. However, they were out of the kind of coffee I usually drink, so I had to buy another one.... In this post, I tell you how I got on with its taste.

The coffee I bought is called “Arauca”, a name inspired, perhaps, by one of Venezuela's most famous rivers. The bean is Venezuelan, of course, which led me to consider that the roast was a bit higher. I always check the package specifications before making a decision: I avoid selecting those that use a lot of sugar to roast the bean. What I did notice was that it had a very strong aroma; it was a pleasant smell, of course. I decided to select this one because it was the only Gourmet brand in the store, so, praying I hadn't made a bad decision, I took it home. All that was left was to prepare it to test the weight of the choice I made.

The packaging was a bit battered because the trip I have to make is a bit long. While the specifications are not detailed, I liked that they detailed the nutritional and caloric percentages. Very few people stop to read this, but I love it; sometimes I'm told I'm obsessed with it, haha.

I brewed coffee the instant I got home; the rainy, cold weather was making me sleepy, which I didn't want to be. I don't usually leave the house without drinking coffee, so not having done so was already taking its toll on me. I didn't add as much sugar, to corroborate how concentrated the ground beans were. This step scares me a bit because, if I don't like it, I end up drinking it without taste and this is not very pleasant. To my surprise, it was delicious. Arauca coffee is very strong, yes; it seems that the roasting is high, and the steaming vapor that came out of my cup corroborated it.

I drank it with pleasure; it was very hot as I like it, in fact, for such a cold and rainy day it was perfect. The coffee helped me to recover energy immediately: it was a definite before and after, even more so after the hard session at the gym to which I subjected my body. I drank two cups... I'm obsessed with the way I prepare and serve it.

Although my morning started without coffee, I was able to recharge my batteries with a good cup. Arauca coffee is one of the many brands that exist in Venezuela, and that has nothing to envy to the traditional brands. Previously, people were more rigorous before buying coffee powder, but the increase of competition in this area seems to excite the masses to the variety and flavor that can be derived from Venezuelan coffee.

Whatever your preference, a hot cup of coffee helps to revive you and keep you going, especially on rainy days.
