The taste for good coffee, I inherited it from my family, all my uncles, cousins, my mother and father loved coffee, there was not a morning or afternoon without the appreciated coffee as the best company of the day....
My brothers and I grew up watching and drinking coffee, nowadays when we visit our mother (who lives in another state of our country) that visit always becomes a competition to see who prepares the best coffee.
My sister who lives in La Guaira (La Guaira State) makes black coffee with a touch of cinnamon, my sister who lives in Puerto Cabello (Carabobo State) makes the best guayoyo coffee (as we say in Venezuela) and my sister who lives in Caracas (Capital of Venezuela) makes the best mocaccini in history? I prepare all kinds of coffee and they are all spectacular, although in this story I will participate as a referee.
But this is not where the competition begins, the competition starts when it is time to serve the coffee, since the one who finishes last has to wash the dishes and/or prepare lunch or dinner depending on the time, we have always had that tradition, which makes that coffee hour much more fun and the most awaited during the whole day.
The coffee hour unites us, unites us as a family, unites us as sisters, comes one and notro gossip or story accompanied by that good coffee.
The truth is that a good story or a good story without coffee is not so much fun.
At coffee time we always sit down to talk about each one of our lives, how are our children, how are we doing at work, how are our husbands (those who have one) and each one tells curious and funny anecdotes that we have experienced during those days that we had not seen each other, and this competition that is not so much a competition but a tradition is the most fun that we can experience when we are together.
Undoubtedly, coffee is and will always be the complement of a good time, a good meeting, a good date and even in adverse situations that may occur to us.
So far my participation in this fun initiative of our friends of this great community.
I say goodbye thanking you for reading it, thank you for coming this far.
