Today I'd like to introduce everyone to a coffee shop located in a small alley on Nguyen Chi Thanh street in Da Nang, which is also my first visit.
The coffee shop has the name Nối, which means connected, person-to-person connection, present-to-past connection, person-to-music connection, and person-to-nature connection.
Introduction of Noi café
Noi is located in an easy-to-find alley on Da Nang's Nguyen Chi Thanh street. Just a short walk into alley 113, you'll notice a cafe with a nostalgic style - an unmistakable Noi style.
The coffee shop is not overly busy, it is simply an old house decorated in the style of the 1990s. It is not a grand structure, it is simply an old three-compartment house used by the owner.
When I arrived, there were a lot of people, but the atmosphere was kind of quiet, perhaps because the cafe's style is nostalgic, maybe that's why people are chilling in this atmosphere, so noise is not present but only melodious music, and the customers were also conscious that they should be quiet.
The cafe's customers are mostly young people who enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere. This is the place to go if you like rustic simplicity, not hustle and bustle, and a throwback to the 1990s vibe.
The outside space
The cafe's outdoor space is the yard, which the owner used to create an outdoor space for those who enjoy nature. There are many trees in there, giving it a fresh and natural feel.
Here there are placed sets of old tables and chairs which are collected by the owner, creating a green but classic atmosphere.
The inside space
When you walk inside, you will be taken aback by the owner's extensive antique collection. Stepping into here, memories of the old days come flooding back. The space is crammed with old things. Classic motorcycles, cassettes, old televisions, radios... everything in this room reminds us of the subsidy period when everything was very rudimentary.
Perhaps because our increasingly modern and innovative lives cause us to forget the old and simple things like this, but seeing these things brings back peaceful memories of childhood to each of us. For a moment, it allows us to forget the chaos and fatigue of the hustle and bustle of life out there and return to our childhood with peaceful days.
The music
The owner has a large collection of classic music records and tapes - the type of music that my grandparents and parents listen to on a regular basis. Customers will listen to melodious classical music from radios, cassette players, and CD players, which adds to the cafe's classic appearance. For those who enjoy classical music will undoubtedly fall in love with this place and return many times.
The menu
The coffee shop's menu is quite diverse, ranging from coffee to juice or even beer, all of which have a very appealing taste at a very reasonable price.
Because I love coffee, I chose a cup of salted coffee; its flavor is very different from others I've tried; it's not too sweet, and it has more of a coffee flavor. Maybe because the owner wanted to emphasize the taste of the coffee, he reduced the amount of condensed milk, I prefer a little more sweetness, but for those who don't like sweets, this would be a great choice.
The menu is made of rudimentary paper and meticulously handwritten by the owner, it is appropriate for the café style.
I hope you enjoy the café as much as I did through my words. This coffee shop is special to me, it's my first time there, but I've thoroughly enjoyed myself, I'll definitely return—a cafe with a nostalgic style but plenty of character.
