Jurassic Park in the middle of my city

in #hive-1528892 years ago

We are going through a strange winter this year, stranger than last year and much stranger than two years ago. Further back in time, I don't remember, my memory can't take me any further.

I have noticed that this winter most of my posts have started by mentioning winter, which I did not do in the past. I think this is because of the way winter is manifesting itself now, a way I am not used to but I think I already have to get used to, as I think it will become permanent.

This change (warming) of winter I am glad about, I think it brings benefits for everyone but it also has negative aspects that can be serious, like water shortage and drought. We will see how things will go and if we, the people, will find solutions to solve this situation.

In my city, Bucharest in Romania, the winter closer to what we used to know lasted only two weeks and now it has started to warm up again. Good weather is the best invitation to go for a walk and that's why I ended up in the middle of the city again for a Sunday blast in the green part of the city!

For its good position and the possibility to start in many directions, Victory Square is the best place to start...

This square is also important because here is the Romanian Government's headquarters, so the place where the country is ruled and the place where the population protests against the ephemeral rulers.

This is where the city's main boulevards intersect, some leading to the middle of the urban agglomeration...

... or to the more airy, green, and park-like northern part of the city.

Note that there are some very interesting and important museums in this square, with some connection between them. The National Museum of Natural History "Grigore Antipa"...

... The Museum of the Romanian Peasant is a superb museum about the Romanian people and their traditions. Unfortunately, this museum has been under renovation for many years, and I don't know why!

Opposite the Museum of the Roman Peasant is the National Geological Museum.

Museums that I visited many years ago but that, whenever I pass by the beautiful buildings that host them, make me want to visit them again. I hope to do it as soon as possible.

This time, this Sunday, my wish was to take a walk on the road, as they say around here. But just at the beginning of the walk, a strange apparition made me stay there...

A baby dinosaur! Waiting in front of the crosswalk! That was the last thing I ever expected to see.

In fact, I think it was not a dinosaur, but rather a Tyrannosaur, something carnivorous, and therefore even more dangerous. Fortunately, the children know no fear and were glad for this encounter.

Moreover, there was also a girl who seemed to lead and take care of the being from millions of years ago.

Although I tried to film as discreetly as possible, I was noticed and the "cute" animal even wanted to express his thanks to me...

... but the children who approached were more interesting to him.

After all, any friendship of this kind has to end... and good thing it does.

This close encounter with the distant past also ended for me when I remembered the purpose of my presence there on a #beautifulsunday winter day. Really #sublimesunday, after this surprising meeting. The walk. So off I went too...

Soon we also understood where and why the little dinosaur was there. It was supposed to welcome visitors to Dino Park, set up in the courtyard of the Geology Museum!

A place where I have to bring my granddaughter Ilinca.

Until that happened, I followed the planned walk in this part of the city, the only one with such wide boulevards, many parks, and old buildings, a neighborhood where the old rich used to live and now the new rich of the city live.

Traveler to the city where I live is what I've been doing for many years, that is, I try to show what is more interesting, more important, and not necessarily what is more beautiful in the city where I live. I don't bypass the ugly places or the sometimes uncivilized behavior that I try to explain through the history of these places but I focus especially on what I think a visitor would like to see when he arrives for the first time in Bucharest. Bucharest, the capital of Romania, a member country of the EU, is located at the crossroads of Central, Eastern, and Southeast Europe. I'm going to use this tag #mycity and then put these places on the Pinmapple map for those who want to discover them more easily!

Hey man, I tried reaching out to you on discord but I couldn't find you on the Leo Finance server, what's your discord account?

Hi, I'm sorry to say I haven't used discord for a while. Should I use it?

Honestly, there's a lot going on in the Leo discord at the moment, we have the AMAs, a Meet and Greet on the 15th, and another initiative that links to discord roles! You definitely should :D haha

If you do, please shoot me a message (find me on the leo server) and I'll give you a role so you know what I'm talking about. Worst case scenario you decided it's not worth the hazzle and you banish discord from your life again hahaha.

I wish there was a jurassic park in my city it looks so cool and fun

It's new to us too, it's interesting!

you are really lucky

I will remember last week and this week as cold days for this winter. It seems it will get warmer from the next week on.

I wonder for what the dinosaur was there :) Kids passing by there must have had fun, perhaps frightened :)

Scopuri de marketing! It drew attention to the nearby Dino Park.

Nice and quiet in many parts. I hope the dinosaur is not going around scaring people. haha.

No, no... although I was unprepared to encounter such a thing. It was pretty well done, it looked real, I thought it was a robot but it was a man in a dinosaur suit.

Looks like those i saw from the clips of Walking with dinosaur show.

I have also noticed the Strange behavior with the winter, Here in my country Winter is shrinking and Summer is doing the opposite, we are having 8 to 9 month of Summer and 3 to 4 month of winter, Which is quite different from the previous years. Btw I love the Tyrannosaur standing on the way and entertaining the people.

I suspected that now the winter was acting strange everywhere. It's obvious that something is changing...

Here the people of Pakistan also want our country to be like this and there should be such things so that the children who are here are also very happy to play with them. Our country is very backward at the moment and those who have developed, we also want Pakistan to develop and people here to live a good life. Here too now it is cold only for three months and the rest of the months are hot because the population is increasing.

Saludos desde Venezuela que bella y 💖 hermosa es su ciudad y sus fotos son increíbles muy bonitas, excelente contenido.

Thank you!

Wow it's cool. There's a T-rex in the middle of town. Fortunately the children there were not afraid. It was very interesting for the children and adults there.

Yes, a little T-rex (with a man inside but which I don't think he ate).
