Before going to bed last night, I already knew I would be in Church this Sunday morning. I initially thought of making it to 8am Mass, but I had a very exhausting week. So, I didn't want to think too much about the exact mass I would be attending. I could attend 8am or 10am mass inside the University of Ibadan. Or, I may just stick with 9am Mass in St. Thomas Parish.
When I finally woke up this morning, I checked my time and realized that I was spoilt for choice of the Mass to attend. I woke up early enough to make it to either of the 3 Mass, but I immediately decided to opt for 10am Mass. If you are curious about what I was doing until the time I started getting set for Mass, my Actifit report for the day will give you that info. Haha.
The walk to church is always an interesting adventure. It took less than 15 minutes to get there and I waited outside for the ongoing 8am Mass to be dismissed before we kicked off the one I came for.
The Mass was a delightful one. The sermon was about "The Good Shepherd". The choir didn't disappoint as always. After today's Mass celebration, I took just a picture of the interior design of the church before going back home. That's the picture I attached to this post.
I had rice in the freezer which I was supposed to eat when I got back. I bought fufu on my way back but that would be for tomorrow's meal, thanks to the Egusi soup in my freezer. I also got an egg which I was supposed to use and fry noodles for dinner. That Egg had the sort of experience highlighted in Deuteronomy 32:52; It got close enough but just when I was opening my door, the egg slipped from my grip and shattered at the entrance of my door.
I wasn't even mad about that. I already had so much preoccupying my mind. I immediately cleaned up the mess, made a few calls after pulling off, and started taking care of my laundry. This is one of those things I was supposed to do yesterday, but I decided to do it today. After doing the laundry, I emptied out my waste bin in the place we dump it in my compound and refilled my water containers.
I finally got to take stuff out of my freezer, heat them up, and break my long fast. I also heard from home and everyone had big smiles. Knowing that each of them was having a sublime Sunday was enough to put my mind at peace. I would be going out later to get more Eggs. Hopefully, this one will reach its destination. Hehe.
I still have some things in my to-do list for the day and I plan to get through them before nightfall. I also plan to make preparations ahead of the coming of a new week. If I get through all these early enough, I will be digging into some of the TV shows on my watchlist.
Hope y'all had a sublime Sunday.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.
