For this weekend's #sublimesunday post, as inspired by @c0ff33a , we headed back to the base of the nearby bluff. For hiking? Not quite...today was all about some fun in the snow and sledding. With temperatures in the single digits, it was a cold one, but worth it.
Once we scaled the hill to the top of the slope, we eyed up a snow jump that someone else had constructed earlier in the day.
Then it was time to hit the slopes and take in the cold wind, spraying snow, and big air once the jump was managed. Sledding time was finally here!
Once at the bottom, it was time to make the climb back to the top.
As my wife helped start the next run, I decided to take a few photos of the area for my #sublimesunday share. There is always something to photograph when near the bluffs of the Driftless Region we live in.
We were able to get about half an hour of sledding in before everyone's fingers and toes started to go numb. You know it's a cold one when you have snot running all over your face, and you can't feel it. Wonderful times!
Don't worry, I didn't take a selfie of the snot...I'm not that gross! Plus, Hattie had some cocoa at home after the adventure, so all went well.
Thanks for checking out my #sublimesunday. Hoping everyone out there in winterland is staying warm and comfortable tonight. It's going to be a cold week here as we head into the holiday week. Until next weekend...
