This photo shows the enormous Drum Tower, built in 1380. It is open to visitors. On one of the upper floors you will find 24 drums. They function a kind of calender that is meant to help farmers known when it it time to plant, harvest etc. It was here in Xian that China become one kingdom. Empeor Quin Shi Huangdi was the one made sure to do that. He is the one burried with the huge Terracota Army.
