Cows are everywhere in the streets in India. This photo was taken in the city of Udaipur. After my first trip to India, I asked a friend (originally from India) about the cows. Whey are they considered holy? I have read different stories about this, so I am not sure which one is closest to the truth. But my friend told me that we have to go almost 2000 years back in time. That's when the population in India grew and the food resorces became less. It would seem natural to eat meat from cows. But the cow was important to the economy. A cow would give birth to an ox, who was necessary in the agriculture. Not only that, but cow dung was used as fertilizers, building materials for houses and fuel for the cooking fire. It provides milk, butter and chese. This photo is my entry to @photofeed contest https://ecency.com/hive-153349/@photofeed/photofeed-contest-street-photography-round-93
