| Часть острова занимает искусственный водоем Ковш Новой Голландии, который был выкопан ещё в начале 18 века при Петре 1. | Part of the island is occupied by the artificial reservoir of the New Holland Bucket, which was dug at the beginning of the 18th century under Peter the Great. |

| При строительстве Ковш имел промышленное и испытательное значение для судостроения. Но это давно уже не актуально. Теперь, когда остров Новая Голландия превращен в парк отдыха, водоем окружен мостками, на которых также можно отдыхать. | During its construction, the New Holland Bucket had industrial and testing significance for shipbuilding. | Ковш Новой Голландии - это не закрытый бассейн. Двумя протоками он соединяется с Мойкой и Крюковым каналом. На фотографии видна красивая кирпичная арка расположенная над одним из выходов. | The New Holland Bucket is not an indoor swimming pool. It connects with two channels to the Moika and the Kryukov Canal. The photo shows a beautiful brick arch located above one of the exits. |
