“Yellow is my favorite summer color - it makes me feel like a sunflower.”
Bria Vinaite
Yellow
The sunflower, a herbaceous plant native to the American continent, has been considered since ancient times as the symbol of the sun, symbolizing love and admiration, as well as happiness, vitality, positivism and energy, represented in its continuous search for the position of the sun.
The plains of the neighboring state of Portuguesa are characterized by their fertile lands, to such an extent that this federal entity is known as the Granary of Venezuela, due to its thriving agricultural activity.
Some years ago, while I was taking a Sunday drive, I observed a field of sunflowers on the side of the highway, as well as dozens of travelers who had parked their cars on the shoulder of the road, and I took the opportunity to do the same and take some pictures of that landscape and of my travel companion.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
