Men at Work
Since last week, work has been taking place on an avenue near my home, to remove and replace a section of sewage pipes, which unfortunately exceeded their useful life, and in addition to the risk of contamination it represents, it can also undermine the asphalt of the road generating an obstacle for vehicular traffic.
Being a civil engineer, I could not resist the temptation of approaching the site to observe the work, of course at a prudent distance since I did not have the necessary personal protection equipment, besides the fact that my unauthorized presence at the site could pose a risk to both my safety and that of the workers who were there.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Desde la semana pasada, se han estado efectuando trabajos en una avenida cercana a mi hogar, para retirar y sustituir un tramo de tuberías de aguas negras, que lamentablemente excedieron su vida útil, y que además del riesgo de contaminación que representa, también puede socavar el asfalto de la vía generando obstáculo para el tránsito vehicular.
Siendo ingeniero civil, no pude resistirme a la tentación de acercarme a la obra para observar los trabajos, por supuesto a una distancia prudente ya que no contaba con los equipos de protección personal necesarios, además de que mi presencia no autorizada en el lugar, podía significar un riesgo tanto para mi seguridad como para los trabajadores que allí se encontraban.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
