You must be knowing how important transport is in our lives. We move forward with the help of transportation. Transportation is the only thing that brings this whole world together. Think for yourself what life would have been like if there was no transportation. We would have stayed in our own homes and would not have had any connectivity with the world because it would have been very difficult. Today, if we had to go anywhere, we would have reached there with the help of transportation. We could go at any time and no matter how far we had to go, we would have taken the help of transportation. If we talk about 200-300 years ago, how difficult life would have been for people at that time because firstly, there was no means of timely communication and then people did not even have basic means of transportation due to which people lived in certain areas and it was very difficult to go out of there because how would anyone walk so much and on top of that, there was no information about where they were going. But with the advent of transportation, facilities have become much easier and today people are making a lot of progress with the help of transportation.

Now the city you live in has different transportation facilities. For example, in big cities, there are many types of facilities like train, metro, bus and many other types of facilities available here. So, in big cities, I feel that there is no problem of transportation because I myself lived in a big city for many years and there I had transportation available even at 12:00 in the night, so I did not feel that there is any problem related to transportation here. Many times, I used to travel from one state to another and my train used to reach the station near my room at around 2:00 in the night, but even at that time, I got the means to go to my room, otherwise I would have to wait till morning. Well, this is about big cities.
Well, in big cities, the transportation facility is very good here because the government listens to the taxis and many people get employment with the help of transportation, so there is no problem of transportation here. Now the place where I live is my hometown and it is a hilly area, the biggest problem here is the road because it is very difficult to cut the road in the mountains and the biggest thing here is that the road is very less wide due to this. The road is narrow and single line and many times it happens that when two big vehicles are coming face to face, then there is a lot of possibility of their collision because we do not know that the one who is coming will turn his vehicle towards it and in a way, we do not have any communication with him, the driver signals with the help of his hand that let me go first, but many times it happens that two vehicles collide with each other. The main roads here which go towards the market and which join the highway are always crowded and there is a lot of traffic jam because the roads are very narrow and now people have many more means of transportation and they don't even like to walk anymore, so because of this people have a lot of vehicles.

The second problem here is that if you are coming to this city for a short while and you have to go somewhere further, then you will not get transportation here because after about 8:00 pm the vehicles stop running here and even if you have to go somewhere locally, you will not get transportation for that too. The main reason for this is that the roads here are very bad and at night, road lights are also seen very rarely, due to which many times one has to face problems in driving at night, due to which sometimes accidents also happen. Only those who have their own personal vehicles are able to travel at night, apart from them no one else gets public transport and even those who are two-wheeler drivers also avoid traveling at night because there are many potholes on the roads, due to which many times accidents also happen and along with this, there is a lot of terror of wild animals here, especially leopards, many times it even attacks the people. In such a situation, you can imagine how difficult it can be to drive at night as there is always a risk to one's life.
Along with this, if we talk about the condition of the road, then there is nothing special there either. It is often seen that when it is rainy season, it is repaired on time, sometimes it breaks and sinks down. And as I told you earlier that there are hilly areas here and the roads made here are sometimes made by cutting the rocks, due to which many times the raw rocks slip and come down on the road and small stones often come on the road and sometimes they also cause accidents by hitting some vehicles. When big rocks come on the road, then it blocks the entire road and then it takes a lot of time to remove the rocks because heavy machines are required for that and those machines are not always available, so if there is an alternative route then people adopt it, otherwise they have to wait for hours for the road to open.
If we talk about the solution of such roads, then I feel that first of all the basic foundation of the road needs to be strengthened because nowadays I have seen that the road contractors indulge in a lot of corruption due to which they keep more than half of the road budget with themselves and the remaining money is used for other works. Now in such a situation you can understand what kind of quality the road will be and what kind of arrangements will be made for the roads here because there is a lot of corruption but there are some corrupt contractors and some corrupt government officers who keep their evil eyes on this money and they commit a huge scam.
Many times I think that the police collects fines from people who drive on the roads but if any accident happens due to bad roads then who is responsible for the accident because whatever tax is related to the roads is collected by the government from us, so it is the responsibility of the government to keep the road arrangements in order.
The most important thing that I feel is the reason behind so many accidents is heavy construction because we live in a hilly area and this type of heavy construction in the mountains is not right at all because it creates many problems like sliding of mountain rocks and many other problems due to which the base of the road also becomes weak and the way heavy machinery is used is also not suitable for the mountains. Nowadays, roads are being built in the mountains by cutting rocks and making tunnels, but I do not think it is right at all because the blast with which rocks are cut in the mountains and the heavy machinery used may keep the mountains intact today but after some time they leave their place and when they leave the place, then many times we have to face huge disasters.
