Taking a step in life is not something anyone can run away from because life is all about taking a step forward.
Humans generally have that mindset of getting scared of losing.
Meanwhile, if you don't lose you can't win. Don't get me wrong it is possible to give it a try once and then win at once but most of the time we just have to taste what it feels like to fail so that when we finally win we will know how to handle things properly.
All my life I have never thought of marriage or how it could be for me. All I just wanted was to be successful and have what it takes to be a man but along the line, I met my soulmate, which is my wife.
She showed me true love and I was very happy to have her. The relationship was smooth and sweet and I thought about it, what if we get married?
We did get married as I anticipated, but after a few months, everything seemed different, as if I had arrived in a strange world because I lost my job after a few weeks of marriage.
I couldn't give love like before because I wasn't happy. After all, the job layoff was a shock to me. In the meantime, I was incorrect because every day can never be sweet.
I started wondering if it was because of the marriage I had that caused the problem. A lot of thoughts were going through my mind.
The Blessing In Disguise
When I returned from a job search one day and realized I couldn't meet my wife, I contacted her. She urged me not to take offense, she went to a special prayer for me. I was surprised since I found it surprising that someone could climb a mountain to pray for me.
Since it was my mother who did it for me, I have come to understand that other people can also make a significant contribution to my success.
She told me that a woman stopped her on her way down from the mountaintop and said, "I haven't seen your face here." She then responded that she was new to the area and that her husband had brought her to the mountaintop.
My wife and the woman exchanged contact details, and after my wife arrived home, I spoke with the woman. In response to my inquiries, the woman revealed that her spouse is also an engineer. She introduced me to her husband, who then assisted her in getting me a job at her husband's business.
I was able to meet a lot of people in the company and up till date they have been referring me to a lot of people that I handle their site projects.
I earned twice the amount I was earning in my former company and I was able to have connections with a lot of people
I have never been laid off, but when it did happen to me, I was devastated and feared there would be no better firm for me to work for. But for me, it turned out to be a blessing.
One thing about life is that you can never be sure if the risk you are about to take will result in a good or poor outcome. And it might ultimately end up being a blessing in disguise for you.
The experience taught me that everyone has their own dark times but we should always keep our heads up. Life is never a bed of roses and it can never be as easy as we always expected it to be.
