Crime can not be justifiable as long as we have a law in our communities. Sometimes the person who committed the crime may not do it intentional, but it doesn't stop it from been a crime.
One thing we must consider when looking at a crime when is committed is the person who is involved and also the motives. Is just like an accident that occurs. Before it occurs and after it occurs is still called an accident. But when you take into consideration the people involved. How badly it has affected them and the end result, you will be forced to pity even the person who caused the accident, and that is why is called an accident because it was not intentional.
CAN WE STILL SAY SOME CRIME AS JUSTIFIABLE?
Yes of course. Though is still breaking of the law, but we can still display the human in us and wave some crime. I'm looking at this coin from its two sides. So don't get confused because I am trying to balance things here. We can actually say that we can't justify any crime and at the same time still justify the same crime. You know why is like that? Because even when the crime is committed is called crime, but the person who committed the crime may not mean any harm.
How will you feel when you discovered that your brother died of hunger? What will rush through your mind immediately? I believe that you will wished that he had somewhere to steal some food, eat and still be alive. Yes. This is the situation. Like the situation we are currently in Nigeria, I have seen some people who committed a crime that they never believed that they will ever commit in this life. Because of hinger people have done what should not be done at all.
Another thing that will make me justify a crime is when a life is in danger. I have also seen some people commit a crime because they intend to save a life. Maybe someone's father may be in the hospital battling with his life and his son can not raise money for his surgery. A son that don't want to see his father suffer like that and die may decide to go out and robb a bank or even steal from a rich person to save the life of his dying father. What do we call what he did? Crime. Right? But we can steal show some mercy to him. I'm not saying that people should go and do something bad because they will be shown mercy. No.
I will love to use what happened to me two years back. I mistakenly committed a crime, I wasn't aware that it was bad, I did it in ignorant, but I had to suffer because of what I did. I felt so bad when no one was ready to listen. I tried all I could to explain that it was not intentional, no one cares. At the end I went through all the pains to pay for my sins. I wished I never did something like that, but it happened not because I wanted it to, but because it was meant to happen. All I did was to gladly Carry my cross. When I was done paying for it, I learnt a serious lesson of my life. It also helped me to show some mercy to people when they go wrong or commit any crime. We are all humans and once in a while we are bound to commit a crime that we did not plan.
Conclusively, I would love to say that we should learn to temper justice with mercy.
Thanks for coming around. I love you all.
