Compliment of the season to every lovely friend that I have here. Is that season of the year when you remember all your special friends. So as my friend, I am sending a huge tonight. I love you all.
I totally agree with the topic of discussion for edition 2 of week 145. I believe that people have become wiser now that everyone spend with wisdom. But maybe we still have people who spend without thinking of the consequences after wards.
In those days people celebrate Christmas in such a way that one week after Christmas they will always be on the run because they don't want people to see them and ask for their balance. But today, we spend wisely. Hahaha 😂. What is happening now even a big fool knows that spending too much is prohibited.
HOW HAVE I MANAGED MY SPENDING THIS PERIOD?
I was surprised when I got to the market to buy a few things, I noticed that there are no much people in the market. Unlike before when there was money in the country, when you get to the market you will not see space to pass on the 24th of December. People will be all over the place buying and selling. But it was not so this year. We had only a few people in the market buying some food stuff.
For my family I made a decision not to start what I can not finish. From the unset when I noticed that the cost of things will be too high when we get to Christmas season, I decided to go low on any Christmas preparations for the season. Though sometimes when I hear what people are saying and how they are willing to do anything just to celebrate Christmas as they desire. I get carried away and thinks of going out to borrow to make my Christmas celebration as memorable one. But on a second thought I decided not to go ahead, but just spend only what I have for this season.
I totally removed my mind from what I can not afford. Because I know that collecting something on debt means eating your tomorrow. When tomorrow comes and that little money comes in, instead of using to solve today's problem, we will only use it to settle yesterday's debt. This is not the kind of life that I want for myself. There was this year that though I did not collect things on credit, but I went ahead to spend all that I have. When we got to January, the whole house was stranded because there was no money to pay bills like house rent and school fees of the kids. Since then I learnt my lesson and we only get to spend what we can afford at the moment. What we can't afford, we don't bother about them. This is also how we spent this Christmas. We only bought what we need and what we see as wants, we push them aside. You can't believe that I never bothered to buy any chicken 🍗 meat. We just managed what we have. Life is as simple as God made it. I don't want to complicate things for myself.
