Thanks to those who refused to Help

It is quite fortunate to have people in our circle who are ready to help us when we need them, who are there to make our lives easier by facilitating us in the tasks we find difficult to perform. Their presence lightens our burdens and develops a sense of mutual care.

Nevertheless, at times, it is the existence of their support that is the very hindrance in the path of our growth. Unleashing our true potential is obstructed by the support extended to us. Unless the facilitation is removed, we never get the courage to perform those tasks on our own.

I have come to the realization that we owe our successes and growth to those who refuse to aid us as much as to those who supported us in the time of need.

Had we not been left alone to face our fears, we might never be able to rise above them, and would always be dependent on others depriving us of the capability we have the potential to attain, blocking our roads to independence.

I have a personal story where the removal of an assistance made me learn what I was frightened to do. That learning was empowering in multiple ways. I felt more independent and free. I was no longer in a need of someone or wait for them to perform the essential task for me. Moreover, I was able to guide others as well through which they earned a profit.

It so happened that when I joined Hive, I had no Binance account and I was really scared to own one. The first reason was my eternal fear of cyber technology (about which I have mentioned several times in my previous posts). The other reason was no legal acceptability of crypto in the country, so it is always risky to get registered on something about which the laws are not clarified

Anyways, after a year or so on Hive, when I needed to convert my crypto to fiat I asked the help of a Hivian friend. She herself had no account on Binance, nevertheless, her brother used to facilitate her transactions via his account.

The friend helped me convert my crypto fiat via her brother, and so I relied on her for the next transactions also.

After several months, when I needed to do another transaction, I confidently asked the same friend. This time she refused owing to the reason this could bring a penalty to our Hive accounts. It is because accounts of two different people making transaction to the same Binance memo is an indication of the same person operating two different accounts under different identities.

Earlier we were not aware of problems associated with such transactions, nevertheless, after knowing the scenario it was not wise to make the mistake. So her refusal made perfect sense.

Nonetheless, I was stuck. I needed money and I had no one else to help me with the transaction. In this situation I was left with no other option but to overcome my fear and create my own Binance account. I did.

Taking guidance from a Hivian friend I set up my own account, learned to transfer crypto and trade it against fiat. Now I need not wait for the appropriate time to ask for someone else’s availability. I freely and independently perform the transaction any time of the day.

Moreover, before creating my Binance account, I used my brother’s bank account for the money transfer. Then he would give me the cash. It was a long process, and yes he lives farther from my home so I couldn’t meet him all the time.

For receiving fiat money through Binance trade, I needed to have some bank account as well. So I installed mobile banking app and created an account there too. It made me independent at multiple levels.

For instance, I can transfer money to anyone any time. I am no longer dependent on cash but can easily pay digitally for online shopping.

In short, the ‘No’ from a friend became the reason to empower me, to experience the independence, and to control my financial transaction. That’s why I am thankful to her for refusing to help me, and give me the opportunity to overcome the obstacles of my way.
