Hello Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog. To run a smooth cycle of life, sometimes we have to take help from our peers and friends in the form of loans, and sometimes we have to lend money for their help based on specific conditions and agreements. Monetary Interaction works based on trust. It is normal and we should not worry about it. The real trouble starts when anyone breaks the promises and does not return his or her loan on the promised date. Our Society doesn't criticize people who take loans; it criticizes people who break boundaries after taking loans. I have had a bad experience with loans and I'm one of the people who is repenting over the decision to grant loans to friends because they never had paid my loan on time. Anyhow, it is life, and we have to move on.
A Loan that has Saved My Carrier
The year 2019 was the worst for me. My father was sick in Saudi Arabia. My mother and I will not only run our home but also send each penny to my father for his proper treatment. It was a hard time in my life.
Bad time In Our Life Comes With A Lot of Learning
It was a big trail from Allah and we spent this time by taking His help. It was the end of February when the University announced to pay the Semester Fee. I was living a hand-to-mouth life. I didn't want to put an extra burden on the shoulders of my mum. Hence, I decided to take a loan from the University.
I wrote a 50 Thousand PKR/ loan application to our Dean and briefed the situation we were facing. The Dean of the faculty of engineering and technology was a nice person. He not only helped me with his pocket money but also delivered my application to the Vice-Chancellor. After five days, I received a loan on the agreement of return loan in April from the University and it was enough to pay university fees and to pay mess expenditures. I hid my loan story from my mum, although she was telling me to sell her jewelry to pay the university fee. I reassured her that the University had extended the date for the Semester Fee. This was how I spent my February 2019.
As I was a student and didn't know how I return my loan? Every day was bad for me. I was lost in thinking how shall I return this amount? My exams were affected a lot due to stress. Then I decided to join an academy where I could earn 15K PKR/ per month. Although I received my 1st month's salary it was not enough to pay the loan. University Loan Terms and Conditions were strict, and now, if I did not return the loan on time, then I would have to face serious consequences.
I made a hard decision and sold my HP Laptop in 35K PKR/. The exact price for this laptop was 50K but I had to sell it because I didn't have any other option. I successfully paid my loan, but I had to reveal the truth in front of my mum because she was inquiring about my laptop. I bought a new Laptop again after five months when things became normal for us. This hard time left many lessons for me at a young age.
Final Thoughts
Bad and Good Days are part of life. We should never disappoint in any situation. We should continuously fight with them and do our best to survive; either we take help from our peers or we make hard decisions. I'm happy, I survived in my bad times when there were no chances for my existence. Bad times are temporary, so we have to struggle for good times. Life brings many twists. If we are facing tough situations, then take patience and make hard decisions. Take help from your friends, neighbors, and even your relatives if you need financial assistance. Taking loans is not bad, but if we do not return them on time, then it is worse.
