"Good deeds matter, even if done without the intention of goodness. Before I answer the question, let me welcome you all. From invisible to visible mode here I am to contribute my presence on such a worthy topic. Let's get back to the discussion.
From a human perspective, the saying 'actions speak louder than words' implies that deeds accomplished with the intention of goodness does matter, but they might have minimal value to others because they are performed for personal satisfaction. The world may not see that your heart and body are unified in this worthy objective, so it's uncertain whether your heart is truly involved and it would be taken in the likable way you wanted to demonstrate. Judgment makes things critical to transpire.As long as the mission is achieved, it might not matter whether your heart is delighted in doing it. For example, if you do something for charity and the deserving people attain benefit without seeing your face or intention, they may still give you blessings in return. However, if you seek recognition for your action, then the genuine goodness of your deed, done with your heart, would be devalued. From this perspective, what matters is the action of goodness, not the intention behind it. Additionally, if you do something wrong but are not aware of it, you will be punished regardless how many justification you would make to show your honest and loyal heart.
- The code of ethics;
From a religious perspective, each religion emphasizes the originality and purity of the heart. Whether or not you carry out a good deed until the end, the intention you initially generated to achieve wrong to someone, even if you ultimately refrained, unethical intention still affect the purity of your soul. However, humanity would be spared from the consequences. Religiously if your intentions are good. The good deed count may even double and the outcome would be the sanity and ultimate mental satisfaction.
- The eternal peace;
From a self-perspective, as humans, we perform actions both for self-satisfaction and to earn a good reputation. Both purposes are distinct and opposite in terms of earning goodness. If one's heart intends to gain a reputation, humanity may accept it, but religion would not. However, if the heart desires self-contentment without seeking reputation, the purpose is still achieved. Your invisible heart would be happy and satisfied, and humanity would also consider you a good person. Might be you sustain your goal even if you have contributed little because you are performing this for self delight and what the others think or perceive doesn't bother you. It's not about the percentage of goodness you have done, it's all about quality content you have obtained from that minor work done.
- Closing thoughts;
In conclusion, whether or not your heart is involved, the purpose of achieving goodness will be attained in the end. However, if you aim to gain extra credit, do involve your heart, as this will bless you with soul satisfaction and may earn you a thousandfold of blessings to perform the same good work.”
