Limiting, NOT Banning

When you have a situation of people who take alcohol versus people who deal with hard drugs, you will find out that those who take alcohol feel like those people who take hard drugs are way more terrible than they are. It is more like the statement “Sinners judge other sinners for sinning differently”. In my opinion both cases are related. You tend to fall into the same web of health problems.

The damaging effects of alcoholic drinks are similar to the damaging effects of hard drugs. People think that it is only hard drugs that could lead to death but then they forget that alcoholic drinks could also lead to death. There are people who I have heard that they ran mad due to their intake of hard drugs and there are people who are battling with liver damage due to their intake of alcoholic drinks.

Looking at these, it is okay to say that the major point of study should be an overdose of these two. Over drinking and over dose of hard drugs. I have heard someone say that alcohol is okay but try to take it on a minimal level. Some people could control their intake of alcoholic drinks. They take it only in a gathering and are careful to avoid intoxication. Sometimes I am made to believe that hard drugs have more severe consequences than alcoholic drinks.

If you take alcoholic drinks in minimal quantity I am certain it won’t hurt your health, like I said small quantities for the stomach's sake, because there are also foods that are preserved with alcohol to help their shelf lives. It is also advisable we take those in small quantities. When it comes to hard drugs, the effect is way crucial. When I was in school I was made to understand that most of the drugs we call hard drugs are sometimes given to patients with crucial health conditions as medications but then under the doctor’s prescription.

Most times, we misuse these things and then we get a terrible result. We become addicted to alcohol and can’t go a week without taking it. It is even worse with people who take hard drugs. I will say that the damage rate is high when we abuse and misuse it, especially in the case of alcohol, i have seen people vomitting and embarrassing themselves in an event just because they couldn’t control their alcohol intake.

Is Banning Alcohol an option?

If I had the power to ban alcohol, I wouldn’t ban it. I don’t take alcohol or drugs. But i am certain that there are people who take alcoholic drinks to feel relaxed and not intoxicated. There are some countries where alcohol and drugs can be sold and they are both legal but then there is an intake restriction level. Banning alcohol because some people decide to abuse it because of their own will is likely to banning soda drinks. Soda drinks also have damaging effects on the body when people consume it inappropriately and people actually do just that we don’t talk about it.

I think the appropriate thing is limiting the amount of alcoholic drinks people can buy. If we are able to do this then i am certain we can manage the issue of people using alcohol inappropriately. Some people do not abuse alcohol and they take it moderately and it has zero effect on their health. Banning alcoholic drinks is a wrong choice in my own opinion.

You are right. People who judge the opposite users feel like saying, 'I may be a sinner, but at least I don't sin like you do'. When in the actual sense, both alcohol and hard drugs can have devastating effects on health when misused.

I also believe that limiting the amount people can buy is better because it can help curb abuse without taking away people's freedom to choose.

Exactly my point, thank you so much sis

I totally agree with you. Banning alcohol or drugs is more like banning coffee or soda cause of the caffeine and side effects.

It's better to regulate than to Ban it completely

Very correct.
There was a time I bought a medicine, I've forgotten the illness I used it for. So when a coworker came and met me with the syrup, she exclaimed, thinking I was into man power thing 😂. Yeah, she once worked in a medical field

😂😂😂😂 this is so funny, actually some drugs are classified as narcotics and anti depressants and to some they are hard drugs while others take them under doctor’s prescription

Kingsley, Kingsley.... You must remember the name of the drugs o 😏

Yes, I support the motion which says limit the amount of alcoholic drinks people can buy...if these is done, there will be no abuse or whatsoever

Thank you so much

Please allow us to be sanctimonious abeg 😏😅....

The funny thing about this intake of potential harmful substances especially for smokers is that in every cigarette pack, it's clearly written there that smokers are liable to die young.

I mean it even has a graphic representation of a cancer patient as the end result of smoking but this people will owe the packs and still smoke aggressively...

I will just be shouting na wa ooo even goat no stubborn reach like this.

Human beings sha, an enigma they are...

😂😂😂😂 People do whatever they like even if they banned alcohol they will still bring it in😂😂

Certainly 😂

Over intake of anything in life is just not ok and that is the case with alcohol and even the hard drugs of a thing.
Minimal intake remains the best

Yea you are right, too much of everything is bad

I think the issue of banning and limiting alcohol might have to do with different environment, in an environment where major takers of alcohol are teenagers, I don't think limiting alcohol in such area would proffer a solution.

That is why there should be age limits in some countries.
