The year 2025 is in full swing and we’re now well on the way to making it through the month of January. For many people, it’s going to be the longest month of the year, especially for those who spent the whole of December spending everything they had saved up during the year 2024. However, it won’t be the case for everybody.
This is 2025 and I believe that many of us have wizened with time. We all know how tough the month of January can be and as a result, while enjoying the pleasures of the festivities, we make sure that we keep something to the side to prevent stories that touch in January.
Well, as bad as it can be, the year is off to a great start, and like everyone else, I have a number of things I have planned for myself. At the start of the year 2023, I had quite a streak in achieving the Hive goals that I set for myself. I was able to get a lot of things done with regard to the blockchain. And when 2024 rolled around, I was ready to continue the streak into the New Year.
However, I was wrong. 2024 came with so many challenges, many of which I was poorly equipped for. It was my final year in school and I wasn’t prepared for the toll that would take on my finances and my time. As a result, I had to make so many changes and adjustments, I also had to give up on a number of goals that I had set aside for myself.
Last year, one goal I had in mind was to make at least two posts each day across several communities. I wanted to resume writing flash fiction, and I also wanted to take my photography hobby more seriously. I did start, but once school resumed, I quickly learned that I wouldn’t be able to keep up if I wanted to finish school on a good note.
So, I could only keep my posts to once a day. So many things were affected, even the sequel to my book that I hoped to publish, I just couldn’t make it work. However, thankfully, 2024 also marked the end of my academic struggles. I graduated and became free from the rigors of that life. I’m home now and I’m trying to pick up the pieces and start building my portfolio in the way that I want.
So, for me, my Hive goals remain what they were in 2024. First off, I want to explore the blockchain. Make at least two to three posts a day. These posts would cover things that I’m passionate about; writing about things happening around me, writing flash fiction, and making reviews on movies, trips, or locations that I’m visiting. I also have plans to be more outgoing this year, I spent a lot of 2024 indoors, and as a result, it affected my plans for the year. All that is going to change.
Another major goal for me is to invest more. The last months of 2024 were kind of tough for me because I found myself in some major situations that required me to take some pretty drastic steps that I would never have taken if I could avoid. It was bad enough that it led to me having to sell off most of my tokens and even power down my HP. Unfortunately, I’m still reeling from the effects of that moment, and to date, I’m still trying to be clear about it. But then, those tokens came to my rescue at a very bad time of my life, and that made me realize just how valuable they are.
As a result, one of my major goals for this year is to get more involved in gathering tokens. They’ll always have value and the more I get, the more my wallet swells. Once I’m done with this phase, I’ll focus on building my HP back to what it’s meant to be. I know that if I’m serious about it, I’d be able to make it work and even hit whatever target that I set for myself. From the look of things, it won’t be a bad idea to end 2025 with a 30k HP, would it?
How would I get 20k HP within the space of twelve months? I have no idea, but I’m pretty confident that I can do it. I’m already making plans towards that end and I’m sure that with time, everything will fall into place.
So many things about this year will click, especially now that I no longer have to juggle my time with school activities. I’ll be able to boost my engagements and give my blog the attention that it deserves. I’m definitely going to make it work. I look forward to everything that’s to come.
