Sometimes, it’s kind of hard to believe how much things have changed since we started this year. We started it on such a high note but then, in as much as man proposed a number of things that we wanted to happen, the government made it their duty to dispose of every single one of them. Just as you’re making plans, so many things are happening subsequently to blow that plan to bits.
It’s crazy, really! From the state of the economy to the security and healthcare, everything is just going bottom up. It’s as if we’re simply watching as the country is getting worse by the day and we can’t do anything about it. But then, what can we do? You could decide to talk and then get punished as a result.
In all these, it can be quite easy to keep track of time. It’s so easy to think only in 24-hours. We only think about today and today, we don’t really worry much about tomorrow. We only worry about today, there are so many distractions and problems that we can’t just avoid them. Many people are living in survival mode, going from the first meal ticket to the next, just trying to get to the next day without any hassle.
That’s how tough life has gotten. And that’s also why it can be hard to imagine how fast time is traveling. Because when you calm down to think about it, it seems like you’ve not really done anything in the past year. You’ve been so busy surviving, so busy living from hand to mouth and trying to get through the night that when morning finally came, you forgot that it was just one more day closer to the end of the year.
And soon, the days turned to weeks and the weeks turned to months and the months have led us to November. Now, we’re less than 50 days from the end of the year. With the situation of things right now, it can be so easy to get carried away. The struggle, the life, and the desire for comfort can make it all difficult to stay focused. However, we always have to remember that there’s more to life than just surviving. We’re not born just so we can live from hand to mouth and suffer. There has to be more to our existence.
So, my dear friends, no matter how bad things get for you, don’t forget to always grow. Learn as much as you can, and become better than you were because that is the only way that you can boost your value in this ever-competitive market. Now, while getting better as an individual does not guarantee a better life, it does guarantee you a better shot at it especially when you know exactly what you want out of life.
Don’t get caught up in the struggles of life, always remember to put your future first. Because that is the only way you can decide the kind of future you want for yourself. If not, you could be focusing on getting through the day-to-day struggles, and all of a sudden, you’ll find out that ten years have passed and you’re still in the same spot; struggling.
This is something we all must reject. So, do not get caught up in the struggle. No matter how bad things are or how bad they get, focus on growth, and focus on getting better. Your future self counts on you to rescue it!
