It’s the start of a new month, and what better way to start it off than with a fresh new week? We’re now in the last four months of the year and for some reason, it still feels surreal. It’s almost impossible to believe that truly, eight months have blown by, just like the wind and never coming back.
It all feels like only yesterday when the year started and we were all full of resolutions and plans for what we want to achieve. None of us had any idea how the year would roll out, however, we were all willing to give it our best shot because, at this stage of our lives, it was all or nothing.
Well, we all know that it’s not really been rosy for everyone. Many of us had so much planned, however, life happened and we found it hard to achieve them. When you make plans, the situation of things will turn you right around and force you to change them. It’s just been an insane year, I must say.
And this year has been one of the most volatile if I’m being honest. From massive protests across continents to wars and the never-ending inflation that keeps strangling the necks of the common man. It gets to a point where it’s so painful you’ll feel like curling up on your bed and just weeping from tiredness.
However, despite all this negativity, we should never allow them to put us down. We should never allow those things we didn’t do to overshadow and cloud the ones we did do, thereby making us forget our achievements and remain dwelling in sadness. No, we shouldn’t do that at all. We can do better!
It doesn’t matter what your plans for the year were, it doesn’t matter how many you were able to achieve in the long run. What matters is that you did make moves towards achieving them. You can never fully control the outcome of the things that happen to you, but you sure can control how you react to them and how you let them impact your life.
So, my dear friends, what is that thing you still want to do this year? Know that it’s not too late just yet. The fact that less than four months remain in the year does not mean you can’t still pull off a miracle by December 31st. Matter, if you’re dogged and refuse to be put down by fear, you sure can do whatever you want to do, especially chasing what’s left of your dreams.
It won’t be easy, of course it won’t. If dreams were easy to chase, many of us would be billionaires by now. However, that should never be a factor. However, the fact that the year is almost at an end should even be more of a challenge, spurring us to do more and achieve better. Note though, that there are no time constraints, if you don’t do it this year, it’s a good time to tell you that you can still do it next year and the year after that. There’s no rush, there’s no pressure. Just do your thing and when your time rolls around, you’ll get it! It’s as simple as that!
