If you don’t have a thief or a troublemaker in your family, believe me, you have no idea just how lucky you are. People just don’t seem to understand just how embarrassing it can be to be related to such a person, who willfully does things that will bring shame to the family and they don’t care. They’re only after their gratification and as far as they’re concerned, the consequences be damned.

These are for thieves, troublemakers, and people who will just about fight anyone and anything. Hell, they could even pick a fight with a baby if the baby looked at them funny. Many times, when you think about it, it’s just so illogical and doesn’t make any sense, but that is something so many people have to deal with.

Can you imagine how sad it is for you not to be able to leave things lying around in your house? That is, you can’t just leave your money on your table, or leave the milk in the fridge. You have to always lock things up, you have to keep measuring them to keep track of their progress because you know that the minute you turn your back, someone is going to take them.

You don’t even feel like your things are safe in the house that you paid for, it can be a really painful feeling. This is not just the “stealing meat from the pot of soup” phase, or “stealing cubes of sugar”, it goes beyond that. Especially when it starts leaving the borders of your family and they start stealing from others.

Now, every night when you hear a knock on the door, the first thought that will cross your mind is “What has this child done again?” Then, you also have to deal with the pain of always bailing them from jail because they always get arrested. Funny enough, they’re never too smart in stealing because it’s usually always obvious that they’re the culprit even though they’d lie with everything that’s in them. And I'm not referring to when people falsely accuse others, I mean when there's clear evidence pointing to the fact that they're guilty.

Of course, some people will attribute it to a spiritual ailment, or see it as a spiritual attack. I don’t know the validity of all that. Then, there is also a term for some of them, “Kleptomaniacs”. And I used the word “some” because there are those that simply do it for the hell of it, not because they can’t help it. Either way, the result is the same, untold shame to the family.

It’s no different from having a troublemaker in the home, people who are always looking for who to fight. Honestly, if you meet such people, you always notice the red flag within minutes of meeting them. Because many times, things that should never escalate on a normal day would suddenly become such a big deal, leading to the trade of blows. It’s always insane. These are people who hold grudges and they can keep malice for the world. But when you ask them why all that hate, they simply have no cogent reason. Their reason will seem valid in their head, but won’t make sense to you.

Just like with the thieves, you’ll always subconsciously be expecting cops at your door, calling you to bail them out because they beat someone up to stupor and you’re just waiting for the dreadful day that they’d end up killing someone. You as a family member, you’re always paying hospital bills. You pay bills when the troublemaker gets beaten up, you also pay bills when he beats people up because most of the time, he’s always at fault.

Honestly, this is a family member that will bring you nothing but sorrow. Now imagine how it would be when the person is a thief and also a troublemaker! Yeah… there are people like that. And while they don’t seem to care about the effects of their actions, the family suffers severely for it. They suffer for it when they walk down the street, they suffer every time they have to make bail or pay hospital bills that they never should have to begin with. Burning up money that could be put to more important endeavors.

So, I’m saying this again, if you don’t have a thief or a troublemaker in your family, always give thanks. Because you have no idea what the Lord has done for you.

Thanks be to God... I can relate with this post... Nearly everyday, we get to see people being exposed for theft and some causing trouble here and there. We wonder how the families of these thieves do feel whenever they are paraded alongside culprits... It's sure not a good experience!

Not a good experience at all, being known for something so terrible. It's just sad.

Fortunately there is no trouble maker in my family and based on your word I can consider myself lucky 😅.
I think family member humiliated by others again and again for one's mistakes.

As in ehn... just by one person's actions, the entire family can be deemed guilty by association.

I'm really grateful to GOD that he establish his good works in my life and family, if not I'm sure we would have suffered from this, but nevertheless it's still a movie thing to me, and I wish a rehab technique on how to handle this individuals should become common, be it spiritual or a mental disorder.
