Civilization is the improvement in social, technological, and quality of life for the people. Civilization has a positive effect on us for sure, but it has some cons as well. I will share my view on Civilization in the blog.
Why I am grateful for Civilization?
I mostly lived in semi-urban or Urban areas from my childhood. These areas are highly civilized and we can expect good education and quality of living in these areas. Hence, I got a good education from my childhood. Also, I could use technology far better because of good electricity and the Internet. So, I am always grateful for Civilization in terms of convenience in our day-to-day life.
How does Civilization affect us in a bad way?
- With civilization, we face many problems like health, pollution, population, etc.
- Population increase is a bigger problem and will directly increase the demand for natural resources and the limitation of natural resources can cause problems. This can be a serious issue in future times. So, we should take precautions for the betterment of future generations.
- With development, we face pollution as well. It really affects our environmental quality and can cause health problems in living beings.
- Social inequality could be an issue with civilization. Some groups of people have more power and resources than others can lead us toward social inequality. So, the betterment of each and every individual is necessary and the government should work on this.
- With civilizations, people are highly busy in their lives from work to home chores. So, it can increase stress and mental health in people.
- People in civilized areas are highly dependent on technology. However excessive use of technology can cause some problems. The best example here is the excessive use of mobile phones in people, especially in small age children as they get addicted to video games and don't play outdoor games like cricket, football, etc. Also, people might get restless when they can't access mobile phones. So in this way, excessive use of technology can definitely create some problems.
- Civilization is not wrong, but we should work on things to reduce problems arising because of civilization.
Some pros of Civilization
- With civilization, we have access to quality education and good hospitals. We get many facilities with civilizations which improve the life of the people.
- Civilization helps for Economic growth, because of development, production, and technology.
- Civilization also helps with technology upgrades and innovations. With civilization, industrialization can be possible which leads to an increase in production.
- People with different backgrounds come together in the civilization and it helps in the exchange of culture.
In the end, I would say that civilization is highly needed for the overall growth of the people and we should also work on problems that arise in the civilization. Social and economic inequality should be reduced. Everyone should get a quality of living, so it will help to overall progress of that area.
