Good day and happy mid-week. Amazing people of the hive block chain welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hivelearners community, and I am so delighted to be participating in this week's prompt topic: a code I love. Seeing these prompts from the #hivelearners community, I ask myself, What is my code? Have I even broken my code?

My mom will always tell me, My daughter, be good to people around you because you don’t know where you will see yourself tomorrow. We need to have some code that will help and guide you in this journey of life. Without this code, my life will not be well planned back then. My mom will always tell me to set principles that will guide me in life. I am so proud that I was able to take my mom's advice. No matter how hard the challenges of life may look, I will never break those codes because I have already disciplined myself.

I don’t think that there is any human without code. Code is very important to every human; it is code that defines how we live our lives and the way we communicate with people. For me, living without code is worthless. Like I said earlier, there is a need to have code. Even in difficult moments, you will be able to excel because you have set a standard for yourself.

The code I lived by is respect. If there is one code I can never break, it is respect. My parents disciplined me in a way that no matter how my elder may wrong me, I will never disrespect that elder. This reminds me of a story when I was growing up: I disrespected my elder sister, insulted and abused her. The moment my parents heard about it, they gave me a beating I will never forget in a lifetime. Since that day, respect has become my code for life. No matter the situation, I see myself i will never disrespect my elder. Respect is a code I learnt from when I was small. When I communicate with people, I communicate in a respectful manner.

Another code I lived by is the golden rule, which states that you should treat others the way you want others to treat you. The life we live in is not a bad rose. The world is really small; we don’t know where we can meet each other. I am so conscious of the way I treat people around me. I don’t like people hurting me. I try my best not to hurt people around me. I understand how painful it is when I am hurting myself. I try my best to live the very best life so that someone will not be hurt by my actions. This is the main reason I am so careful when I am communicating with people. Before I talk, I will first think if my words will hurt the person next to me. If they will hurt, I will not say the word. I always put myself in other people's shoes before I say anything.

Our code is a virtue that helps to keep us on track and guide us no matter the situation. I see myself as someone who can never break this code of mine.no matter how bad the situation maybe i will never deviate from my code.

This is my response to the weekly prompt #hivelearners #hl-w137e2.

That golden rule is so important that I hold it at the palm of my hand. If you want others to treat you nicely and with respect, you should do the same for others, else, the opposite is the case.

Yes my dear

Living by your own principles is something I learned many years ago, it is a way of life, and I sincerely congratulate you for staying true to what you believe, that is something that is acquired through years and life experiences.

Yes my dear

It is always good to be good and respect others, your mother's words of encouragement are top-notch, and it always helps when you acknowledge others.
