Listening to how things were done in the past is one thing I find so interesting, if there was a video version of the early humans, I could spend the whole day watching TV. I remember this one time that I went to Olumo Rock in Abeokuta and they showed us some historical stuff or the time I went to a museum somewhere after the third mainland bridge and we were shown a lot of relics, told stories about how things were before and to be honest I really enjoyed all this, it was one of my best memories as I kid but do I enjoy it as much as I want to experience it? That is a No.

I was born in the 90s when civilization was already more than just a thing but was it a thing in my country? I would say yes for those who can afford it. Civilization was precious then unlike now when civilization is cheap and has lost its value. I still experienced going to the stream to fetch water or drawing water from the well, grinding pepper with grinding stone and all sorts of other stuff but even if I wasn't grateful about everything but these two mentioned above are one of those very few things I'm grateful civilization helped out in, I know there are other things like Transportation and so on, I would have love to ride a horse on a long-distance trip or a camel, but trekking is out of it.
The thing I'm sad civilization ruined was the physical connection people had then and I think the involvement of phones and the Internet ruined that but as a person, I love the existence of the two things, There was nothing like someone been an introvert before civilization, everyone was an extrovert. There was nothing like going like going to Instagram and knowing everything you want to about this particular person you like, you both have to see each other and spend time with each other physically. I could easily say there was enough value in humanity unlike now. To fornicate that time wasn't an easy task, imagine you have to write different letters to five different girls and send them to the post office, imagine the stress you will go through. I'm happy the phone is in existence but it ruined some things and one thing again is I'm sure nobody died of depression in the 30s, 40s, or 50s but these days a lot are.
I can't picture what part of civilization affected my life other than being an introvert which isn't a bad thing because it's peaceful to be alone and understanding how life works has been the balance of the two things, especially in the civilised world now where peer pressure is high among youth, the world we live now is based on filter and it's so hard to come by something real or original unlike the days before now.
Well, I'm enjoying civilization, because instead of being on the farm this morning, I'm here on hive expanding my knowledge and territory without leaving my room. Hope you enjoyed reading this? It's raining Wednesday over here.
