One of the few things I like about this topic chosen by Hive Learners community for this week is that it took me back to some victorious memories which actually brought a smile to my face. The prompt brought back beautiful memories and I am glad it's happening on the first day of the month.

I actually remembered a lot of physical competitions I had been in, cooking, and running in school back then while my older brother was my competitor, that kind of challenge gave me joy and morale to take first place and so on like but I won't be talking about them. I will share the recent one that happened this year in my current field of occupation. Have always wanted to be a videographer for a very long time and at the beginning of this year, the dream of being a professional videographer began.
I joined a group of church media training which specialises in everything that has to do with church media and I joined late because I didn't hear about it until some certain things which made me realise more about God our Father in heaven. The training started months before I joined and aside from our trainers, I happened to be the oldest person who was learning. I was very much older than the other students but based on my personality, it was easy for me to relate with other learners.

Just because I was the oldest, I wasn't given much attention because they believed I would understand things better and faster than my colleagues but what they forgot was I left secondary many years ago and higher institution many years ago which already should made my brain slower than those still in school and I should get more attention because they are already 1 month ahead of me but despite my explanation there no difference so I carried my cross.
Three weeks after I joined, we were giving an impromptu practical text, to connect the livestreaming software to our phone and also connect it to the video splitter and send it to the other screen and on that same OBS, you are to bring in sound not from the camera but from the computer and also add some image, bring in your easy worship software.
Well, I wasn't scared at first not until I was told that I would be the first person to do it and there was a timer for the text. At that point, my heart began to beat fast but the worst thing that could happen was people mocking me which to me it's nothing. I stepped up and I did it and the amazing thing was I set up two different streaming software, bringing my cameras in and every other thing I was supposed to bring in within the time I was given without any error which instead of being mocked, I was praised but I didn't let that get into my head because I was the only one who did it correctly.
I can boldly tell you today after 6 months I'm a professional videographer and I'm also a photographer progress. I have worked on some church events and looking forward to working on more events and not just church alone.
I learned that my age doesn't prevent me from pursuing my goals in life and when we set our heart on things, nothing will hinder it from happening. We just have to believe in ourselves and work towards that dream.
