The Silly 7 Year Old Me.

You know, it is pretty much natural for humans to do something silly every now and then, either knowingly or unknowingly. Sometimes, we do it for no reason at all or perhaps to kill boredom or appease our curiosity.

Personally, I have done a lot of silly things in this life, some of which I can no longer recall. However, for this week's last edition of the hive learners community featured topics, I'll be settling with one silliest thing I did as a child. Trust me, you wouldn't have guessed it! 🥴

Okay so, this experience happened when I was just seven years old. And compared to now, I was one hell of a busybody and restless kid back then. One certain Saturday morning, while returning from accompanying my mom to the market, we stopped by to greet our neighbor nextdoor.

The aged woman and her grown up daughter were outside with their dog which was put on a leash. I really can't recall the specie but I know it was a really big and cute dog. At least, that was what I thought 😢. Then, I was a big fan of pet animals and wished to own one too.

Honestly, I don't know what devil prompted me but I snuck off and went ahead to grab the dog by its tail without anyone seeing. It happened spontaneously and without any reason. Plus, I wasn't aware of the fact that it's tail was a “no-go area”. Immediately, the dog gnawed my wrist like it was going to bite it off.

I screamed and cried out loudly that everyone's attention suddenly turned to me. They managed to stop the dog and it let go of my hand. I thank my stars that it wasn't serious, I only sustained a small cut which was treated immediately. The dog itself wasn't a wild dog so luckily, I didn't get rabies.

When we got home, my mom panicked and yelled at me for taking such a silly action. She warned me that it was wrong to grab an animal by its tail because it could land me in serious trouble. My dear readers, since then, I learned a huge lesson and up till now, I still have this phobia for touching dogs particularly. I mean, I adore them but everytime I try to touch one, I recall that incident which sends shivers down my spine.

Imagine if the case was worse and I'd actually lost my hand to that dog that day. What could've become of me? Mehn! I don't even want to think about it. My silly action could've really landed me in trouble. And frankly, you can't blame me though, I was just a young and silly girl. But now that I look at it, it seems funny and laughable 😂.

This post was inspired by the @hive-learners weekly posting topics for week 34 edition 3 on the title; “ONE SILLY THING”.

THANKS FOR READING! ❤️

So you went and grab the tail of a big dog, fearless madam🤣🤣🤣🤣. You were so sily, thank God the dog didn't bite you.

😅 I honestly don't know what came over me, I was too silly back then. But now, I know better.
Thank goodness my dear! 😄

So sorry for that experience with dogs. If you love dogs but too scared to touch them, you could start by getting a harmless puppy for a start. I love dogs but there are rules when it come it comes to dogs.

Omo!😂. I don't fear don't but I don't go near to it. Even if it doesn't bite...how do I know the one that doesn't bite sef?😂

Omo! I don't even know. One second they're cute and harmless, the next they're fierce. 😂

Hahaha😂.
That's animal for you
