Hi everyone! Welcome to another edition of the #Hivelearners Weekly Featured Contents. Week 125:- Edition 01:-. With the theme "Age Is Just A Number."

This is quite an interesting and challenging topic to write about, I must say. Because this has caused so many problems in the relationship of many.

Age gap has truly always been a major issue when it comes to relationships, mostly in society, especially in my country, Nigeria. If you ask me personally, I don't really see a big deal in being in a relationship where there's a sense of age gap.

What are your thoughts on it? Do you think that couples should be within a set age bracket? Or should everyone be liberal and not be worried about the age difference? How is it for you?

The thing is, in my country, Nigeria, many seem to see age gap as a forbidden thing in a relationship. They believe more that you should be in a relationship with someone that's within your age range.

For me, as far as I'm happy with the person, I don't think the age gap is going to be a problem for me personally. Because age is just a number, like many will say.

Age doesn't determine the level of maturity in a relationship. Love knows no age, but then you have to attain a certain level of maturity to be able to cope in such a relationship.

Make sure you're both capable of handling the situation. Because at the end of the day, for me, happiness and understanding are all that matter. You shouldn't try to make a decision because of what people will say. Do not live your life to please the people in the society.

If you're happy and fine with being with someone that's older than you and you feel you can cope with it, then it's fine and good. But then, if you're the kind of person who knows that you've both got a sense of EGO that isn't going to help push the relationship, I would advise you to withdraw.

I just feel if there's a sense of maturity levels in the relationship from my experience so far, then I don't think there should be a problem at the end of the day.

Rather than focusing on a specific age gap, I feel focusing more on:

  1. Mutual respect
  2. Effective communication
  3. Emotional intelligence
  4. Shared values and goals
  5. Compatibility

Will really help grow the relationship more rather than being too concerned about age differences.

Like I said earlier, it's only going to depend on the couple's ability to navigate potential challenges.

Love knows no age: Age is just a number; what matters most is the connection and relationship quality. I feel like society is evolving in the sense that attitudes toward age gaps are changing and acceptance is growing on a daily basis.

In conclusion, while age gaps can be challenging, they shouldn't be the sole determining factor in a relationship. Focus on building a strong connection, mutual respect, and open communication to create a healthy and fulfilling partnership.

This is not just in Nigeria I think it's entrenched in every society. Even in my native society age gap is considered as a forbidden thing in relationship. I agree with you that age has nothing to do with love.

Wow.... I'm surprised
I thought it wasn't really considered a big deal outside the country.
Thank You for stopping by.
