A Thing I Love About Christmas
We all love the season, its one of love and fun. What is it we love about it in particular? What is that one thing that makes us look forward to it every year? Share yours with us.
Christmas is truly a season of wonder, cheer, excitement, and so much more. It is a phenomenal season that is attributed with the timing of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through the centuries, however, Christmas has become much more than just a holiday for christians and a chance for them to celebrate the birth of the man who made their salvation from sin possible.
Christmas has become an international and inter-religious time of festivities and cheer. Upon entry into the month of December, it is not uncommon to start seeing shiny, colorful Christmas lights hanging from doors and lintels of houses. The resorts and amusement parks get a bump in their clientele. Hens and cocks are slaughtered at am incredulous rate. And drinks are typically overflowing. Even Muslims, atheists, and people from other religions are not left oit of the celebrations, and everyone gets some attire with red color, the color of the season.
When I saw this theme/prompt that we've been asked to write about by the Hive Learners community, it barely took me two moments of thinking to realize exactly what my favorite part of the season is. For some, it is the eating and drinking. For some, it is all the colorful lights that meet their gaze. For some, it is the fact that people travel home for the holidays and they get to see their loved ones(that's very lovely too). However, for me, it is the abundance of Christmas carols.
Anyone who has paid any attention at all to my blog before will know tgat I am an ardent lover of music. Everything about music excites my body so much that I can barely contain. Therefore, the many musical renditions that I get to experience during the Christmas season, both physically and online, make Christmas a particularly lovely experience for me.
Christmas carols have particular style of composition to them that make them very interesting to listen to. They are usually fun, easy to follow and memorize, and they leave a lasting impression in the mind. This month, I have attended carol services in two churches, one in my church, and the second in another church that I was invited to. I also played the guitar at the carol service in my church. I recently even posted a short video that I took during rehearsals for the carol service in my church.

When I say that I love carols, it is not just vocal performances of songs. I also really cherish instrumental performances, particularly the guitar, coz I'm a guitarist😌.

Well, this is my story about what I love about the Christmas season. The carols!
In conclusion, Merry Christmas in advance to you all. Also, Happy New Year to you all.
