Bridging The Gap Between School And Work

Trust me working and at same time schooling has never been easy without understanding the useful tips that guards it.

I also experienced it while in school because it’s obvious you should care for your needs. When you find the opportunity you are now called a working class student.

How I coped with the stress of combining both

Though it was a bit stressful but progressive. I usually collect information from my colleagues about a course, I also had to joined the general whatsapp forum of my department so as not to miss out on information.

I also could pay my fees and care for myself, buy educational materials from the lecturer and help other student who are in need also. That’s the progressive part.

The following are useful tips to cope with school and work stress.

Be multi-taskable

You must have the mindset of doing multiple task at different locations which could be at work or in school. Doing this you must have a good source of transportation/ financially independent to care for your transportation needs.

Associate with school mates

It is very essential to associate with your colleagues in school. This is to enable them to see you also as a colleague also.

They will give you information as regards academic activities in school. At some point in time, not even every classes you will have to attend, you can request for the note on each lecture and compare with what you find online. But if you have the opportunity of attending classes, please do.

Associate with your lecturers

It is very essential at this point to be social with even with your lecturers because they would get to know your status as the semi worker-student. they can also inform you of their activities after they have gotten to understand your situation. This only happens when you are sociable with them.

Do not miss out on classes

If you are chanced to attend classes when at the point of been less busy at work, you can also attend. This is to have a physical experience of what the subject is all about. The way or method the lecturer present it may not be same as presented online.

I've actually tried combining the two: work and school, before. It was for a short while though, 6 weeks.
It worked out well for me because at that point, my school program did not require me to be in class.
We were doing clinicals in the hospital so we were usually back from the hospital early enough for me to still make it to work.

I like the fact you said anyone that want to combine school and work together should learn to associate with their school mate,because with that,they will be able to tell you any information you might miss out when you are not in school.

Yes, that's the secret, information is what helps in school. Trust me I got same experience.

You have to associate nworh lecturers because they are the ones that awards consideration grade to thier students. If they aren't in good terms with you coupled with the fact of combining school and work the individual might not be able to cope. Thanks for reading, wish you a nice weekend.

Even for me, I try to miss as little class as possible. Even though due to work I might miss class once in a while, I make sure it doesn't affect my performance though.

Working and studying is never easy at all, as you have said, listing the few steps to balance is the right thing.
