Learning And Excellence Is The Product Of The Cooperate Work Of Teachers, Students And Parents

The role teachers play in society can not be overemphasized. Many of us wouldn't have been where we are today if they were not there to instruct and mentor us.
However, we must never forget that teachers are mere men and women with no super abilities like every other person. Yes, they have gone through training that makes them equal to the task of imparting knowledge and ensuring every student is successful in the educational pursuit but they don't have the power to force knowledge into anyone.
Learning is first of all something that comes to reality out of passion, as potent and as knowledgeable as a teacher can be, if the person he or she is trying to impact is not interested in whatever he or she is offering, trust me, there would be a problem somewhere along the line.
Someone might quickly say, "It's the teachers job to make the students find interest in whatever they are trying to pass across," that's true, but if you have been in the teaching field before you will understand that it doesn't work that way all the time.
Learning is not a one way thing, for it to be effective, the two parties involved, ( i.e, the teacher and the student) and even parents have their role to play and if any of them fails to play his part adequately, there would surely be a problem at the end of the day.
If the equation to knowledge is not balanced, somehow, the process would be handicapped.
I don't think it's right for parents to push blames on teachers alone when a child isn't coping with learning. Sometimes the teachers can play his/her part but the student or the parents won't.
Just because you pay for your child to be impacted with knowledge doesn't mean you should neglect the child completely to the teacher. As a parent, you have your role to play, these children spend more time at home than in school. If you truly want them to be successful, you should also find time to assess them and put them through some things.
If a student fails to meet up with learning, someone among the three parties is not doing their jobs well. Sometimes it could be the teachers but a lot of times, the fault is not from the teachers alone.
Impacting knowledge is not only the responsibility of the teachers, I won't deny the fact that 30% of the job rests on them but the remaining 70% is on the students and also the parents.
Sometimes, these students need a follow up at home. Everyone has a pace at which they learn. Some students learn very fast, others need an intense repetition of that same thing before it becomes a part of them.
We all know that every school works with a calendar. The teacher is forced to teach with time, sometimes even when he or she is trying hard to stay on a particular thing to ensure everyone is carried alone, time won't permit. There are other topics to be covered, and if he or she doesn't, a query would be waiting for them.
I don't know if you really understand my point. No matter how good a teacher is, this time constraint is a big limitation. This is why the students need to willingly put effort to practice and it's also why parents need to come in to help.
When everything is balanced, there is no way that child won't learn and if he/she has learned, then the performance would surely be excellent.
