My Horrifying Experience With A Snake

Animals are peaceful creatures living their lives just like us, on a normal day none of them have the intention to harm anyone except when they perceive that they are being threatened, though the case of wild animals might be different, when they are hungry and lack what to eat, anything that comes their way becomes food.

The truth is the other side of animals whether domestic or wild is not something funny, they can be very violent and deadly. Some of us were once victims and for those who were not victims, I am sure they have seen or heard of about how animals behave when they are being triggered.

I have had many encounters with animals that scared the hell out of my life, especially with dogs, but when we started rearing dogs, I noticed that it is fear and the wrong mindset that we have about the animal that makes us terrified whenever we come in contact with them.

Dogs are naturally friendly and love to play, sometimes they can feign anger just to scare the hell out of people, and a lot of times when they are in that condition, they usually wag their tale. After noticing all these, my fear for the dogs reduced.

One animal that I dread so much in my life is a snake, even if it is dead, the sight of the dead body alone has the ability to make me restless for the whole day.

Where I live currently is a developing area, there are bushes and grasses all around. When I came here, my neighbors always told me to beware of snakes but I never took their counsel seriously because I have been walking through the bushy roads and never had an encounter with any.

One day, early in the morning, I wanted to go to the town to see my siblings and Mom in our families then follow the market and get some food stuffs when coming back.

The moment I stepped out of my house that day, I started operating my phone, I was so busy replying to my comments on Hive and replying to some people's messages on Social media while following the bushy road behind the house.

When I got to a place, my body just went cold. The feeling was so unusual that I had to stop walking when I did, and put my phone in my pocket, behold a giant snake lying just in front of me trying to swallow up a frog.

Fear gripped me, I couldn't shout I couldn't do anything, my body just went cold. I turned around to see if I could get any stick or stones but found none.

I ran from the spot and entered the farm close by picked some stones, and threw at it, several times before it ran into the bush and left the frog.

All my life I have never seen a big and long snake like that. The color was green. When it ran away, my body began to shiver. I took a kind of race I never did before out of the place and never operated my phone until I got to where I was going.

If not that my instincts told me to stop, the distance between me and that snake was just a step away. And if I had stepped on it it would have definitely bitten me because it was struggling with the frog and the frog was resisting.

A small touch from me would have attracted its anger my way, and I wouldn't escape because it was so long that it could just extend itself and get at me even if I tried to run.

I kept wondering if it didn't see me when I stopped near it or if it was carried away by the frog.

From that day, anytime I walk that road, I am being so careful. The area is so full of snakes, not long ago we killed some.

This image is mine

The experience made me understand that even the animals we dread most don't have any business with us, they don't have any intention to harm us until we threaten them either knowingly or unknowingly.

On the issue of dogs, I think some are trained to attack anyone unknown to them. There is a level of aggression from dogs that I can't withstand. I have one in my area. Despite my second year of staying in this vicinity, the dog barks at me and others aggressively most of the times.

I can't withstand the sight of snakes. Some people would tell me to be a man but I refuse to be when snake is involved.

Haha, dogs are nice animals though some can be something else.. try get the dog some bones for atleast give days and get to know the name, call the name whenever she's barking at you, you will gist me of the change.

There's nothing like being a man when it comes to snakes , those creatures are deadly

I plan owning a dog soon. I will try and get the practical experience.

Omo!
The kinds of animal experience stories I've been seeing up-and-down today. Fear grip me, I no go lie.

I don't like to have or stay in areas with plenty of bushes. I can over-imagine things, like; rat will just come out and attack me😪😂

Imagine, it's rat that is even your concern 🤣 I wonder what would happen when you finally meet the real guys😂
