Should We Spare The Animals And Die?
There was a time I was lost in thought and I came to the matter of animals. Taking chicken into consideration, I was just wondering how these creatures feel with the way we slaughter them and use them for food.
I was just imagining what goes on in their minds, if they have any. Do they see us as monsters or are they always prepared for things like this, are they okay with what we do with them? It was quite unfortunate that I couldn't arrive at any answer at the end of the day because I am not one of them.
Today, we are where we are because certain sacrifices that involve the destruction of certain things were made. It takes something valuable to birth something even greater. A point will come in our lives where we have to close our eyes and hearts to certain things, or else we won't grow.
Over the years, scientists have been using animal specimens to carry out experiments for the benefit of mankind. Truth be told, that idea has been very helpful to the human community because it replaced the idea of having to use a human for that kind of test which has the potency to claim the person's life.
I have heard of cases where certain doctors injected themselves with certain diseases while looking for the cure and made every experiment needed for the cure on themselves. It's disheartening that some of them lost their dear lives in the process.
To avoid things like that, I think the idea of using animals is not bad. I am not saying the lives of animals don't matter, no, it does. Without them, there won't be a balance in the ecosystem.
However, when one animal is gone, double of that animal can be reproduced by the same species. But when a man dies, we can't have that person back, all the potential the person has will be gone.
Human life is scarce, even the way we reproduce is difficult and the duration is long. Do you think it's going to be nice to jeopardize our lives in trying to proffer solutions to our problems when we can easily use animals and yet not have them extinct?
I value every animal out there, they also have life and ought to be treated as a living creature but it's not wrong to use them to save the world. If the exercise is for the good of society, I don't see risking animals for it as something evil. Truth be told, the number of animals sacrificed can be replaced within a small period of time.
If you think it's evil and inhuman to use animals then think of how more evil it will be to use humans instead or to allow the situation to prevail.
To get something in life, something has to be sacrificed, sometimes they are even valuable things.
I feel sorry for those innocent animals but we just have to do the needful. For now, we may just have to close our eyes and keep using them for the experiment pending when an innovation will come to remedy it and I believe it will happen soon with how fast technology is going.
