A child mischief, who is to be blame?

in #hive-1538503 days ago

As parents/ prospective parents, it is a major responsibility that one is shouldered with ensuring that the children in our care are rightly trained not to be mischievous in the family and society at large. The fact that parents have a major role to play in the upbringing of a child, every child also has a role to play in their own lives. There is something called the will power which implies that every individual has the right to choose the way he or she wants to go so no matter how much of discipline is inculcated in a child the decision not to go wayward lies on that child.

Despite the fact every child has the right to decide their way of life, 70% of a child upbringing depends on the way that child is raised from home. Honestly speaking, some parents have failed in this aspect and they ended up regretting why they didn't do better from onset. From the early stage of a child life some behaviors tends to surface and most at times it is neglected by the parents saying they are just kids not knowing little drops of water makes an ocean. Have come in contact with parents who hated it when you correct their little ones all in the name they are still small.

Few years back, I went visiting my aunt and then her neighbors child who is 5yrs took her purse and went to hide it in a corner after searching and searching for the purse and couldn't find it no one expected that the little one was with it so we never bothered asking. After given up on the search, it was later on my aunt bumped on this child telling his elder brother to see off to buy biscuit. His brother was quite amazed knowing fully well he had no money so to confirm if truly he is with money was asked to show his pocket and that was how we were able to recover the money back.

Because the child is not hers, she never wanted to beat him without the parent consent so she took the child to the mother only to get a filthy reply saying his just a kid and doesn't know what his doing but my aunt instead picked a cane from the floor and whipped his hands telling him not to take anything that doesn't belong to him only for the woman to start keeping malice with her. I believe if a child at this age isn't well nurture by the parents has a possibility of picking peoples stuff when his grown and the end result is absolutely blamed on the parent.

Also, I can't possibly blame all the parents for a child bad behavior because some parents also played their role in ensuring that the child is properly trained, bringing them in the way of the Lord and doing all that is needful only for the child to grow up with a total different character from only God knows where he or she learned them from. So at this junction it is right to say it is entirely not the fault of the parent if a child decides to go south.

Thanks a lot.

I agree with you that 70% of it depends on how he/she is brought up. I also think this is correct because I also agree with the fact that if parents keep guiding their children from time to time and keep making them aware of good and bad things, then according to me, children will never get into any wrong path.

Absolutely true, no matter how a child is stubborn when put on the right part constantly will definitely go the right way.
