It is another episode of Creative Sunday, I welcome you all to my blog and I wish you all a happy and healthy week ahead, today I would love to spice up my chicken curry sauce, this sauce can be used to pair any food of your choice like your spaghetti, rice, yam and so on.
The ingredients I used for this sauce are very affordable and healthy, I would share my steps and how I make this delicious meal.
INGREDIENTS USED
Chicken
Peppers
Maize
Cornflour
Curry
Carrot
Green pea.
The first step is to cook the corn, let it cook for about one hour or 30 minutes depending on how you love your corn to be, after that leave it in cool water for about 10-15 minutes and go on with other preparation.
The next step is to rinse the veggies I would be using, I used yellow peppers, green peppers, red- bell peppers, and scotch bonnet pepper, I minimize the use of all these peppers so that I can enjoy the meal and reduce the hotness, I diced it and leave it for later use.
The next step is to marinate the chicken, I added one cube of seasoning cube and salt with curry into the chicken, used my hand to mix these ingredients together, and covered it to incorporate for some minutes before using it.
After some minutes of marinating the chicken, I paced my pot on my cooking gas, added a little oil, and fried the chicken for two minutes, I was not cooking the chicken, all I want is that brown color and let the chicken feel the heat, after getting the brown color, I added water into it and added my curry powder with thyme, onions, one cube of seasoning because I had already used one cube to marinate the chicken, I allow it to boil for a minute then I transfer the corn into the mixture, mix thoroughly before adding the diced peppers into it and covered it to boil for minutes before moving to the next stage.
The next process is adding the carrot and green pea into the boiling mixture, the process will not take much time because I do not want the carrot to be too soggy, I want a bit of crunchy from the carrot, so I only steam the carrot and the green pea before adding my corn flour, I mixed my corn flour with water to bind the mixture together, cornflour serves as a thickener to the sauce, it will make it thick but for my sauce, I do not want a very thick sauce, I only added one spoon of cornflour with water and I added it to my sauce.
This process is very necessary to add a cornflour because it will bind the sauce and never allow your sauce to look watery.
This is the end of the sauce, and I pair my sauce with rice, I hope this video is helpful. Thank you all for watching and I wish you all a very happy Sunday.
