I welcome you all to another episode of Creative Sunday today I will be making potato chips, if you're not a lover of potatoes like me then this video is for you, I am someone who doesn't like potatoes at all but the Chips are one of my best snacks so let's get in and see how to make potato chips
I do fry potatoes but I never got how to make the chips not until I bought my slicer, this helped me learn how to make potato chips, some professionals know how to use a knife and get the exact shape of potato chips but using this slicer made it easier for me in getting the shape I want for my chips, there are no much ingredients used for this Chips all the ingredients are affordable and since we are in the season of potatoes then we can do anything we want with potatoes now because it is cheap now.
INGREDIENTS
Potatoes
Vegetable oil
First step
The first step is bringing my potatoes together in a bowl then adding water and rinsing it thoroughly I love to do this process because of the sand around the potatoes so I need to get off the Dirt that is attached to the back of the potatoes, after washing it then the next step is peeling.
Step two
I used my peeler to peel the potatoes which made it very easy for me to do unlike using a knife one of the things I did not like most is peeling potatoes with my knife but using this peeler helped me and made it easier for me to do after peeling it the next thing is for me to rinse it with clean water.
Step 3
After rinsing the next thing is for me to slice it, I use my slicer to slice just to get the texture that I want, it gives me a flattened texture and this is what makes it chips not frying potatoes.
Step 4
After slicing it I spread it on my tray for some minutes before frying it meanwhile in frying potato chips there is no need to add salt because potatoes have their sweetness, I fried the potatoes on low heat and it came out well while frying potatoes you need to be flipping it so that it won't get burn that is what makes it Chips, it can easily burn and destroy the flavor, I took my time to fry everything on low heat and spread it on my tray after frying for it to cool.
So the next part is optional, if you wish to add salt to your potatoes then you can do that after frying but not before frying, so when it is hot you can sprinkle small salt on it and then shake It together. But in my opinion, I would say there is no need to add salt to it.
This snack can last for weeks because it doesn't get spoiled easily, as a mother you can make it for your children and I'm sure they will love it, Also if you're not a potato lover then you can try the chips you will fall in love with it thank you
